Historical competencies and narratives: the historical thinking of students and pre-service teachers

Se analizan las competencias de pensamiento histórico de estudiantes españoles de bachillerato y del Máster de Profesorado, y sus narrativas sobre historia de España. Se utilizan métodos cualitativos para identificar: a) su pensamiento histórico, que comprende conocimientos sustantivos y uso de metaconceptos; b) en cuanto a sus narrativas, la gradación cognitiva (taxonomía SOLO) y el sujeto narrativo utilizado. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de los estudiantes de secundaria no utilizan metaconceptos. In autumn 2021, Covid-19 still has effect on our daily living and our possibilities to conduct everyday life practices such as work and studies. Current realities of ‘new normality’, based on remote work and restrictions of social activities, for example, are grounded on the vast changes that occurred when the pandemic began. Seuraavat opetussuunnitelmauudistukset toteutettiin vuosina 1985, 1994 ja 2004. Parhaillaan Suomessa kehitetään uutta peruskoulun opetussuunnitelmaa, joka on tarkoitus ottaa käyttöön vuonna 2016. Prevalence and socio-behavioral determinants of dental caries in Sicilian schoolchildren

Background: Epidemiological data revealed a marked decline in dental caries prevalence in schoolchildren of Western industrialized countries. In Italy this decline is not well documented, particularly for schoolchildren living in southern Italy. This study investigated the prevalence of caries in schoolchildren in the city of Palermo, Sicily, and assessed the relationship between socio-behavioral determinants and caries.
