Novel σ1 antagonists designed for tumor therapy: Structure – activity relationships of aminoethyl substituted cyclohexanes

Abstract Depending on the substitution pattern and stereochemistry, 1,3-dioxanes 1 with an aminoethyl moiety in 4-position represent potent σ1 receptor antagonists. In order to increase the stability, a cyclohexane ring first replaced the acetalic 1, 3-dioxane ring of 1. A large set of aminoethyl substituted cyclohexane derivatives was prepared in a six-step synthesis. All enantiomers and diastereomers were separated by chiral HPLC at the stage of the primary alcohol 7, and their absolute configuration was determined by CD spectroscopy. Abstract This cross-national study examined the connections between parental working time patterns (i.e., regular day work vs. nonstandard working hours) and children's socio-emotional wellbeing defined in terms of internalizing and externalizing problems and prosocial behavior. We also examined how the total number of hours worked, changes in work schedules, working overtime at short notice, and having an influence over one's work schedules were linked with children's wellbeing. Initial public offerings (IPOs) are typically viewed as the peak of entrepreneurial success, providing founder-CEOs a chance to profitably exit. Founder-CEOs, however, are often motivated by non-financial considerations in addition to the desire to amass wealth. According to the behavioral agency model, the founder-CEOs’ framing of gains vs. losses of their wealth creation at IPO determines their risk aversion vs. risk taking behaviors. A series of Ni(II) complexes with the general formula [2-((NEt2)Me)-8-{N(Ar)}C9H8N]NiCl2, where Ar = 2,6-Me2C6H3 in Ni1, 2,6-Et2C6H3 in Ni2, 2,6-i-Pr2C6H3 in Ni3, 2,4,6-Me3C6H2 in Ni4, 2,6-Et2-4-MeC6H2 in Ni5, and 2,4,6-t-Bu3C6H2 in Ni6, has been prepared using a one-pot reaction of 2-(N,N-diethylaminomethyl)-6,7-dihydroquinolin-8(5H)-one with the corresponding aniline and nickel dichloride hexahydrate.
