Na przestrzeni dwóch dekad funkcjonowania samorządności w Polsce nastąpiły przeobrażenia w katalogu podstawowych wartoœci samorządu terytorialnego. W pierwszych dziesięciu latach, gdy budowano fundamenty samorządności w Polsce, najważniejsze były podstawowe, ustrojowe wartości, tj. wolność, równość czy powszechność. W drugim natomiast ustąpiły one miejsca wartościom fundamentalnym dla rozwoju samorządu terytorialnego takim, jak: więzi lokalne, poczucie wspólnoty, kapitał społeczny, inkluzja polityczna, czy wreszcie społeczeństwo obywatelskie. The article aims to present life and work of an outstanding Belarusian writer – Uladzimir Karatkievich (1930–1984). Although the writer is one of the most prominent creators of the Belarusian literature, he is not widely known in Poland. Moreover, only a few of his works have been translated into Polish. W województwie opolskim od dawna obserwuje się niekorzystną sytuację demograficzną. Niskie wskaźniki dzietności oraz ujemne saldo migracji sprawiają, że Opolszczyzna harakteryzuje się jednym z najwyższych w kraju wskaźników depopulacji. Dostrzegając związane z tym zagrożenia samorządy województwa postanowiły wpłynąć na ich ograniczenie. Najwyższa Izba Kontroli zbadała1 działania podejmowane w Urzędzie Marszałkowskim Województwa Opolskiego, Urzędzie Miasta Opola oraz Urzędzie Miejskim w Nysie. Z ustaleń wynika, że możliwiły one poprawę warunków życia mieszkańców, jednak jak dotąd nie doprowadziły do odwrócenia negatywnych trendów demograficznych.

Commonly accepted models of human consciousness have substantial shortcomings, in the sense that they cannot account for the entire scope of human experiences. The goal of this article is to describe a model with higher explanatory power, by integrating ideas from psychology and quantum mechanics. In the first part, the need for a paradigm change will be justified by presenting three types of phenomena that challenge the materialistic view of consciousness. The piano teachers from specialized music schools have been often criticized for a lack of psychological and pedagogical competences, i.e. emotional instability, proneness for engendering fear, inability to motivate pupils etc. This paper deals with the following questions: How do piano teachers self evaluate their professional competences? Will their self-assessment be the same as this of their supervisors? The theoretical framework is provided by the theory of self-efficacy and teacher self-efficacy.
