Pētījuma mērķis bija pārbaudīt priekšmetiskas darbības rīku izmantošanu kā instrumentu skaitļu izjūtas mācīšanai sākumskolā Latvijā. Lai to noskaidrotu, veikta sākumskolas matemātikas skolotāju anketēšana, koncentrējoties uz konkrētu priekšmetiskas darbības rīku izmantošanas praksi ikdienā, skolotāju zināšanām par priekšmetiskas darbības rīku izmantošanu un viedokli par to lietderību. Pētījuma rezultātā secināts, ka šī pētījuma grupas ietvaros priekšmetiskas darbības rīki tiek izmantoti ikdienā klases darbā sākumskolās Latvijā, taču tie tiek izmantoti šauri, neizmantojot priekšmetiskas darbības rīku pilnu potenciālu. This article argues that, in order to overcome the national(ist) common sense that continues to haunt everyday political and scholarly interpretations of mobility, scholars need not diagnose nationalism with greater vigour, but should rather move beyond facile diagnoses of nationalism. The article calls for a meticulous tracing of relations and practices of emplacement and displacement that ubiquitous national(ist) interpretive frames both co-opt and exceed simultaneously. The mediating role of optimism in the relations between sense of coherence, subjective and psychological well-being among late adolescents

Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine whether optimism is a mediator between sense of coherence, subjective well-being and psychological well-being among late adolescents. Two hundred and eleven participants completed the Sense of Coherence Scale, the Life Orientation Test-Revised, the Satisfaction With Life Scale, the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, and the Psychological Well-Being Scale. Results of path analysis revealed both direct and indirect effects of sense of coherence on subjective and psychological well-being measures, suggesting that optimism served as a partial mediator. Multiple sclerosis is a progressive demyelinating disease of the central nervous system that can lead to permanent disability and significantly impact the quality of life. The present study explores the relationship between neurological disability and disease symptoms, quality of life, and the level of sense of coherence, which is an important resource for coping with the disease. EDSS, GNDS, SOC-29, and MSIS-29 were used in the presented study. The study group consisted of 137 people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Involving users in the innovation process is a subject of much research, experimentation, and debate. Less attention has been given to the limits to user involvement that ensue from specific organizational characteristics. This article explores barriers to the utilization of users’ input in two small companies developing interactive digital applications. We contrast our findings to earlier research involving large companies to identify features of entrepreneurial sensemaking and action that influence the utilization of users’ input.
