The study showed that there is a link between induced emotions, the humor style and the sense of life quality. According to Martin’s [1] theory stating that there are four humor styles: affiliative, self-enhancing, aggressive and self-defeating, the humor style of people belonging to groups in which one of the following emotions: sadness, aversion, satisfaction and joy, had earlier been induced and the control group was checked by means of the Humor Styles Questionnaire (HSQ). A system for sign language sentence recognition based on common sense context

The paper proposes a complete framework for sign language recognition that integrates common sense in order to deal with sentences. The proposed system is based on a cognitive architecture allows modeling and managing the knowledge of the recognition process in a simple and robust way. The final abstraction level of this architecture introduces the semantic context and the analysis of the correctness of a sentence given a sequence of recognized signs. This article will analyse the preconditions of sense of humour for artificial intelligence. Can artificial intelligence have a sense of humour? Is there a difference between human and machine laughter? Some machines already fulfil certain conditions which are associated with the human sense of humour: on the most superficial level machines appear to laugh and produce jokes, and they recognize sarcasm and punchlines, and they can evaluate funniness. This article introduces a conceptualization and historiography of politically charged design discourse based on philosopher Jacques Rancière’s work on the intersections of politics, aesthetics, and critical artistic practices. By focusing especially on Rancière’s reading of the genealogy of design from Ruskin to constructivism and the Bauhaus, the article aims to show that there is an important connection between design and politics present in Rancière’s thought. Core numerical skills for learning mathematics in children aged five to eight years – a working model for educators

The aim of this study was to model the most crucial numerical factors to the development of mathematical skills among children aged five to eight years (i.e. kindergarten, preschool, first and second graders). We categorised numerical skills into four main groups based on the results of longitudinal studies. A series of analyses of test batteries designed to measure the development of mathematical skills in children yielded results in support of this construct. Corporate responsibility (CR) has often been criticised as a decoupled organisational phenomenon: a publicly espoused rule that is not followed in daily organisational practices. We argue that a crucial reason for this criticism arises from the dominant in-house assumption of CR literature, which mitigates tensions and contradictions in organisational life by claiming that integrated rules result in coupled practices.
