Hypertext support for the information needs of software maintainers

Making changes safely to programs requires program comprehension and satisfaction of the information needs of software maintainers. In this paper we provide insights into improving hypertext-based software maintenance support by analyzing those information needs. There exists a series of four earlier, detailed-level empirical studies on the information needs of professional C program maintainers. We focus on these studies, synthesize their results and determine sources from which the required information might be attained. A reverse engineering approach to measure the deformations of a sailing yacht

In this work, a multidisciplinary experience, aimed to study the permanent deformations of the hull of a regatta sailing yacht is described. In particular, a procedure to compare two different surfaces of the hull of a small sailing yacht, designed and manufactured at the University of Palermo, has been developed. The first one represents the original CAD model while the second one has been obtained by means of a reverse engineering approach. Physical sciences tend to attribute to rhythm a mechanical overtone but phenomenology of life shows a rhythm in the context of logos and life. Broken packages are packages with not enough information regarding the destination address and they have a negative impact on a computer network. Broken packages stay in the router too much time and overload it. This is a real problem which appears in the computer network of Sofia University. We know only the time when a broken package arrives in the router. The problem is to find the computer which send broken packages. The aim of this article is to propose a model for defining the data transmission stability and correctness in a computer network. Our theoretical model is temporal dependent and captures the transmission properties of a computer network.
