Solving real-life data-driven multiobjective optimization problems involves many complicated challenges. These challenges include preprocessing the data, modelling the objective functions, getting a meaningful formulation of the problem, and supporting decision makers to find preferred solutions in the existence of conflicting objective functions. In this paper, we tackle the problem of optimizing the composition of microalloyed steels to get good mechanical properties such as yield strength, percentage elongation, and Charpy energy. Background To compare the frictional resistance between passive self-ligating brackets and conventional brackets with low-friction ligature under bracket/archwire and root/bone interface during dental alignment and leveling. Material and methods A tridimensional model of the maxilla and teeth of a patient treated with conventional brackets, and slide ligatures was generated employing the SolidWorks modeling software. Software Complexity and Organization of Firms’ Offshoring Activities

How does software complexity shape software providers’ offshoring tasks, and how do such firms organize their offshoring activity? These questions are important, since the global software development market is growing rapidly, offering new opportunities for software managers and entrepreneurs to distribute their activities geographically. Based on a multi-site case study of 12 software firms, we study connections between software complexity and the offshoring strategies selected. Our findings suggest that software firms select a variety of organizational structures for their offshoring activity, and that the selection is shaped by the complexity of the software in question. peerReviewed
