CO2 emissions are a global problem. This means that nothing or very little will change if only particular countries are involved. The aim of this paper is the attempt to show the real CO2 emissions of Spain as well as the impact of its trade on CO2 emissions in other countries in the world and in the EU in 2017. This study was conducted on the group of countries that are the major emitters of CO2 in the world including most of the EU members. Countries with negligible CO2 emissions were omitted. Actual CO2 emissions were obtained by applying the actual emission factor. This considers the transfer of CO2 in export products and services as well as those imported by particular countries. The r…

Microgastrinae is one of the largest subfamilies of the Braconidae with about 2,000 described species worldwide. These wasps are of enormous ecological interest due to their role in controlling the caterpillar populations. This study analyses diversity and community structure within the Microgastrinae in the Artikutza Forest, located in the Peñas de Aia Natural Park, western Pyrenees, Spain. The specimens were collected in two different habitats: mixed forest and beech forest. A total of 524 specimens, belonging to nine separate genera and 27 species were captured. Il volume esamina, per la prima volta, i simulacri lignei del Settecento custoditi nelle chiese, nei Musei Diocesani e nelle collezioni private dell’Isola. Sono opere che, a grandezza naturale e di forte impatto emotivo, furono commissionate da prelati, confraternite, devoti e nobili. Le sculture, alcune restaurate altre in cattivo stato di conservazione, sono state approntate, secondo la pertinente temperie culturale, da artisti siciliani e napoletani, talora su prototipi di manufatti presenti a Roma. Dopo una premessa sui committenti, si indagano i più rappresentativi simulacri lignei del XVIII secolo della Sicilia occidentale. Le statue sono state eseguite, secondo la pertinente temperie culturale, da scultori locali, talvolta ignari dei tratti innovativi del tempo, che hanno reiterato stilemi dei secoli precedenti. Tra gli artisti con bottega a Palermo, aggiornati alle più moderne istanze, si annoverano Barcellona, Quattrocchi e Valenza. Italica (Seville, Spain): use of local marble in Augustan age

This study concerns 51 marble finds made of “Cipollino verde” coming from the ancient city of Italica (north of the modern city of Santiponce, 9 km NW of Seville, Spain), the earliest Roman settlement in Spain, founded in 206 B.C. The aim of this work was to determine their provenance from Greek and Italian quarries or from local quarries worked in the Iberian Peninsula. Thin-section optical microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, bulk rock chemistry and O, C and Sr stable isotope analyses were carried out. Results were compared with literature data on “Cipollino verde” marbles quarried in southern Euboea (Greece), Apuan Alps (Italy), Almería, Extremoz, Seville (Spain) and Évora (Portugal). T…
