Background Primary stability (PS) is a key factor for implant survival rate and depends on implant design or bone quality. The aim of this study was to compare different thread designs implants, evaluating PS with periotest values (PV) and implant stability quotient (ISQ) values through resonance frequency analysis (RFA). Material and Methods A total of 60 implants (Radhex®, Inmet-Garnick S.A., Guadalajara, Spain) were placed in freshly bovine ribs in vitro. Two designs were used: 30 tapered body with single thread design (PHI) and 30 tapered body with double thread design implants (PHIA). Both designs were 4mm wide and 12mm long. This paper is concerned with the problems of finite-time stability FTS and finite-time stabilisation for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay, which can be represented by Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy system. Some new delay-dependent FTS conditions are provided and applied to the design problem of finite-time fuzzy controllers. First, based on an integral inequality and a fuzzy Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, a delay-dependent FTS criterion is proposed for open-loop fuzzy system by introducing some free fuzzy weighting matrices, which are less conservative than other existing ones. Nonlinear network dynamics for interconnected micro-grids

Abstract This paper deals with transient stability in interconnected micro-grids. The main challenge is to understand the impact of the connectivity of the graph and model nonlinearities on transient and steady-state behavior of the system as a whole. The contribution of this paper is three-fold. First, we provide a robust classification of transient dynamics for different intervals of the parameters for a single micro-grid. Flow Control of Fluid in Pipelines Using PID Controller

In this paper, a PID controller is utilized in order to control the flow rate of the heavy oil in pipelines by controlling the vibration in a motor pump. A torsional actuator is placed on the motor pump in order to control the vibration on a motor and consequently controlling the flow rates in pipelines. The necessary conditions for the asymptotic stability of the proposed controller are validated by implementing the Lyapunov stability theorem. The theoretical concepts are validated utilizing numerical simulations and analysis, which proves the effectiveness of the PID controller in the control of flow rates in pipelines.

Given a large population of agents, each agent has three possiblechoices between option 1 or 2 or no option. The two options are equally favorable and the population has to reach consensus on one of the two options quickly and in a distributed way. The more popular an option is, the more likely it is to be chosen by uncommitted agents. Agents committed to one option can be attracted by those committed to the other option through a cross-inhibitory signal. The observer is contextualized in the hybrid systems framework providing an elegant setting for the proposed solution. The state of each player evolves according to a linear stochastic differential equation driven by a Brownian motion and under the influence of a control and an adversarial disturbance. Networked Bio-Inspired Evolutionary Dynamics on a Multi-Population

We consider a multi-population, represented by a network of groups of individuals. Every player of each group can choose between two options, and we study the problem of reaching consensus. The dynamics not only depend on the dynamics within the group, but they also depend on the topology of the network, so neighboring groups influence individuals as well. First, we develop a mathematical model of this networked bio-inspired evolutionary behavior and we study its steady-state. We look at the special case where the underlying network topology is a regular and unweighted graph and show that the steady-state is a consensus equilibrium.
