Il saggio esamina l'autorizzazione dei magistrati agli atti di volontaria giurisdizione a Roma in età moderna, in particolare tra 1580 e 1612. In questa fase, l'interposizione dei decreti è investita dal processo di crescita dello Stato e di ridefinizione dei rapporti tra curia romana e municipio.

La tesi di dottorato analizza il consumo del lusso, con particolare attenzione al fenomeno della moda in quanto strumento di identificazione e distinzione sociale, da parte dell’élite economiche, politiche e amministrative della Spagna asburgica ivi compresa la realtà siciliana in età moderna. This chapter lists five works by scholars belonging to different fields history, economics, language and translation studies. About fifty scholars from all over the world, interested in studying the international reception of Smithian thought, took part in the meeting at Palermo to share their ideas, methods, sources and knowledge.
