High functional capacity of muscle strength and balance in older persons promotes independent mobility and prevents functional decline below the disability threshold. This dissertation explored the effects of strength and balance training (SBT) as part of a multimodal geriatric intervention on physical functioning and health-related factors associated with training participation in a community-dwelling population aged 75 years and over. Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 27. lappasspusēm, satur 12 attēlus, 1. tabulu un tajā ir atsauksmes uz 21. literatūras avotu. Darba mērķis ir novērtēt redzes asumu uzlabojošo treniņu efektivitāti. Viens no iemesliem pazeminātai redzei var būt palielināta tuvuma slodze, kā arī pazeminātas spējas veikt dažādus vizuālos uzdevumus. Trenējot šīs spējas, redzes sistēma labāk pielāgojas palielinātai tuvuma slodzei. Pētījumā piedalījās 24 bērni, kuriem tika doti dažādi redzes treniņi 3 mēnešu periodā. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin millaisia voimavaroja työuupumuskuntoutujat liittävät työuupumuksesta toipumiseen kuntoutuksen aikana. Lisäksi selvitettiin, liittyykö kuntoutujilla työuupumuksesta toipumiseen merkityssuuntautuneiden stressinkäsittelykeinojen käyttöä. Tutkimusaineisto koostui työuupumuskuntoutuksen seurantajaksolla olleiden kuntoutujien (n = 12) puolistrukturoiduista haastatteluista. Aineiston analyysi toteutettiin sisällönanalyysia käyttäen. Experimental Validation of Maximum Constant Boost Control and Switching Frequency Optimal for three-phase Quasi-Z-Source Converters

This paper presents a modified modulation scheme for quasi-Z-Source converters, based on the Maximum Constant Boost Control (MCBC) concept and Switching Frequency Optimal (SFO) as reference signal. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is validated by comparing the obtained results (in terms of AC harmonic content and voltage stress) with those carried out from traditional modulation schemes. For this reason, a test bench has been assembled and the benefits of the SFO MCBC modulation scheme have been valuated.
