L'articolo racconta l'esperienza della CoPED Summer School (Community Planning and Ecological Design) svolta in Sicilia, nella Valle del Simeto, a Giugno 2015. La Scuola è una delle tappe del processo di costruzione del Patto per il fiume Simeto, che è cominciato nel 2002 ed è stato condotto in una cornice di community-university partnership da alcuni action-researchers in collaborazione con la comunità locale. The Dynamic-Maturation Model (DMM) was developed by Patricia Crittenden (1-4), which focused its studies on attachment to different ethnic, socio-cultural and dangers as families in which episodes of Maltreatment and abuse or families with high psychosocial risk. Boosting the performance of a Reverse Electrodialysis – Multi-Effect Distillation Heat Engine by novel solutions and operating conditions

Abstract This work presents a performance analysis of a waste-heat-to-power Reverse Electrodialysis Heat Engine (RED-HE) with a Multi-Effect Distillation (MED) unit as the regeneration stage. The performance of the system is comparatively evaluated using two different salts, sodium chloride and potassium acetate, and investigating the impact of different working solutions concentration and temperature in the RED unit. For both salt solutions, the impact of membrane properties on the system efficiency is analysed by considering reference ionic exchange membranes and high-performing membranes.
