In questo articolo rispondo alle critiche e ai commenti alla mia ricostruzione della concezione del potere di Michel Foucault proposti da Bruno Celano, José Juan Moreso, Marco Segatti, Alessandro Spena. Mi concentro in particolare sui seguenti aspetti: la connessione fra la nozione foucaultiana di potere e il conflitto; la distinzione fra potere disciplinare, potere governamentale, e potere normativo; la concezione foucaultiana della libertà come autorialità; ciò che Foucault può suggerire riguardo ad alcune “macchie cieche” della teoria del diritto contemporanea.

The paper examines aspectual and selectional properties of Old Catalan prefixed verbs in comparison with their non prefixed counterparts. We ground our analysis on Talmy’s (1985, 2000) notion of verb framed and satellite framed languages and on Mateu (2002, 2003) and Mateu & Rigau (2002) theory of lexical structure, and we argue that telicity and other aspectual properties associated with prefixed verbs are by effects derived from the semantic value of the prefix together with the lexical structure they give rise to. Truth in Fiction Reconsidered

Possible and narrative worlds are traditionally the most influential tools for explaining our understanding of fiction. One obvious implication of this is considering fiction as a matter of pretence. The theory I offer claims that it is a mistake to take truth as a substantial notion. This view rejects possible worlds and pretence as decisive features in dealing with fiction. Minimalist theory of fiction offers a solution that gives a way to combine a philosophical theory of meaning and views of literary theory. PurposeThis article deals with the negative emotional consequences of active labour market policies (ALMPs) for long-term unemployed young adults in Finland. Although such policies may have positive effects, an exploration of their negative impacts reveals their problematic side effects. Integrative complexity (IC) refers to a psychological construct, a measurement, and an experience. As a construct IC refers to our less than conscious thinking style in the face of difference or disagreement, how we process information, make decisions, solve problems. The cross-culturally validated empirical measurement frame of IC has predictive values. ’Low IC’ indicates a simple thinking style that is rigid and closed, a ’tunnel vision’ way of thinking that cannot respect or recognize different dimensions or perspectives on a topic, predicting destructive conflict or violence. Examining Consumers’ Usage Intention of Contactless Payment Systems

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop and test a conceptual model that combines the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) with a consumer brand engagement (CBE) model to predict consumers’ usage intentions toward contactless payment systems in a developed country. Design/methodology/approach The authors cooperated with a contactless payment service provider in Finland and reached out to 22,000 customers, resulting in 1,165 usable responses. In Germany, where the common technique has always been dubbing, subtitles are however becoming more and more popular. The present article will deal with the application possibilities of subtitles in audiovisual translation with reference to humoristic elements.
