This paper describes the results of a landscape archaeological research, focused on the ancient territory of Alesa, city of Hellenistic and Roman period located near the North coast of Sicily. The aim of the research is to analyze the problems of settlement and rural population of Alesa hinterland, and also to detect human activities and to perceive settlement strategies and resource exploitation tactics by the local communities in a long-term perspective (from prehistory to late-roman/early byzantine periods). The aim of this paper is to illustrate the preliminary results of research (intrasite survey and excavation) carried out from 2013 to 2017 in the fortified settlement of Terravecchia di Cuti. The intrasite survey allowed to select the excavation area. Some walls, part of two distinct buildings, have been identified: the most interesting structure is a large room, perhaps a courtyard, around which there are at least three rooms. Remains of pithoi are in the rooms, and two on the courtyard floor. Il lavoro illustra i risultati delle indagini archeologiche e di topografia urbana effettuate nell'estate del 2014 sul versante orientale della collina di Poggio Meta, all'interno dell'abitato di Akragas. E' stato messo in luce parte di un isolato, la cui cronologia va dall'età arcaica alla tarda età ellenistica, e, anche in seguito alle indagini da telerilevamento (ripresa a bassa quota da drone e indagini georadar) è stato possibile avanzare delle ipotesi sul piano urbanistico della città, che in questa area presenta due orientamenti sovrapposti e leggermente divergenti, verificando in tal modo alcune ipotesi avanzate nella carta archeologica del Parco di Agrigento.

After a re-examination of the 5th century BC housing culture at Himera in comparison with the housing culture of the same period in Athens, four Athenian red-figured and black glazed pottery assemblages are examined by comparing them with similar contexts from housing districts in Himera, in order to reconstruct as far as possible, the dinner services for convivial meals that involved the consumption of wine, both in formal meetings, both in everyday contexts. I nuovi scavi a Villa Santa Marina

Nel lavoro si presentano i risultati dei saggi archeologici effettuati in località S. Marina, Petralia Soprana (PA) negli 2013 e 2014, nell'area di una villa rustica di età romana. Si sono individuate due fasi di uso di alcune strutture che circondano un grande cortile porticato su un lato: la prima di età imperiale; la seconda post antica (necropoli).
