Vengono cosi analizzati e comparati i diversi modelli di uniformazione del diritto contrattuale susseguitesi negli anni, tanto quelli procedurali, del diritto internazionale privato, che prevedono l'uniformazione delle regole di conflitto, quanto quelli di diritto sostanziale, previsti nei diversi progetti di uniformazione europei ed internazionali.

The present work focuses on the EU-Japan Partnership Agreement, whose consolidated text was finalized on December 2017, having regard to the protection of social rights: in this regard a specific attention will be paid to the EPA chapter on trade and sustainable development and to the negotiations of the Investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) clause, taking into account the current EU approach as formalized in other recent trade agreements.

A Global Perspective on Effectiveness of Aid for Trade

Recent global initiatives on debt relief and development assistance call for increasing aid for trade to the poorest countries. The paper applies a multi-country computable general equilibrium model to measure the effectiveness of alternative aid for trade categories. The findings show that aid for trade policies expand trade and alleviate international income inequalities in the recipient countries, that will benefit mainly from aid for trade adjustment and technical assistance.

A Generalized Missing-Indicator Approach to Regression with Imputed Covariates

We consider estimation of a linear regression model using data where some covariate values are missing but imputations are available to fill in the missing values. This situation generates a tradeoff between bias and precision when estimating the regression parameters of interest. Using only the subsample of complete observations does not cause bias but may imply a substantial loss of precision because the complete cases may be too few. On the other hand, filling in the missing values with imputations may cause bias. This essay will examine the trend in imports of African potteries – notably amphorae and fine wares – in a rural zone of southern Sicily. We are dealing with the region of Cignana, not far from the coastline, where archaeological excavations documented a large settlement that experienced a big growth between the 5th and 6th centuries AD. During this period, a shift in the ceramic supply from the Zeugitana towards the Byzacena occurred. Nevertheless, the positive trend in imports persists until the last decades of the 6th century. VIII-VII, aunque recientes publicaciones plantean que el origen de esta producción metálica en ámbito peninsular podría ser anterior. Intentamos mostrar, sobre la base de contextos estratigráficos y dataciones radiocarbónicas, que los calderos atlánticos de remaches aparecen en la Península Ibérica en el transcurso de los ss.
