Many natural products and derivatives thereof belong to the standard repertoire of cancer chemotherapy. Examples are Vinca alkaloids, taxanes and camptothecins. In recent years, the potential of natural products from plants, notably from medicinal plants used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), has been recognized by the scientific community in the Western world. The present study was carried to correlate the microbial diversity of the biofilms developed on the wooden boards used for aging traditional Sicilian cheeses with cheese typology. To this end, the microbial diversity of the shelves in contact with the cheeses PDO Pecorino Siciliano, PDO Piacentinu Ennese, and TAP Caciocavallo Palermitano, during ripening, was evaluated by a multivariate statistical approach. L’intervento si propone di mettere in evidenza alcune caratteristiche (compositive, ideologico-politiche, retorico-stilistiche) dei «Gesta Roberti Wiscardi» di Guglielmo il Pugliese, l’unico poema epico-storico del sec. XI-XII che tratti della conquista normanna dell’Italia meridionale. Questa nota presenta l’analisi di CB 93a (Cum Fortuna voluit me vivere beatum), un breve componimento poetico che risulta fondato su una tematica ben presente in molte liriche classiche e medievali: il lamento per l’arrivo della vecchiaia che, di conseguenza, esclude l’attività amorosa. Il componimento, quanto a immagini e motivi, risulta affine a Orazio, carm. III 26 (Vixi puellis nuper idoneus).
