Geometrical foundations of fractional supersymmetry
1997
A deformed $q$-calculus is developed on the basis of an algebraic structure involving graded brackets. A number operator and left and right shift operators are constructed for this algebra, and the whole structure is related to the algebra of a $q$-deformed boson. The limit of this algebra when $q$ is a $n$-th root of unity is also studied in detail. By means of a chain rule expansion, the left and right derivatives are identified with the charge $Q$ and covariant derivative $D$ encountered in ordinary/fractional supersymmetry and this leads to new results for these operators. A generalized Berezin integral and fractional superspace measure arise as a natural part of our formalism. When $q$…
Analytic results for planar three-loop integrals for massive form factors
2016
We use the method of differential equations to analytically evaluate all planar three-loop Feynman integrals relevant for form factor calculations involving massive particles. Our results for ninety master integrals at general $q^2$ are expressed in terms of multiple polylogarithms, and results for fiftyone master integrals at the threshold $q^2=4m^2$ are expressed in terms of multiple polylogarithms of argument one, with indices equal to zero or to a sixth root of unity.
Irreducible characters taking root of unity values on $p$-singular elements
2010
In this paper we study finite p-solvable groups having irreducible complex characters chi in Irr(G) which take roots of unity values on the p-singular elements of G.
From Dialects to a Language. Cesare Caravaglios and the Melodies in the World War I Trenches as Songs of the Italian Nation
2019
After the territorial unity of Italy in 1861, romanists, ethnographers and musicologists addressed their efforts in collecting poems and folk music, aiming to demonstrate the interconnection among different regions. At the end of the nineteenth century, the impulse to identify the unity of the country through dialects became a dogma, in order to consolidate the unachieved “Italianness”. Alongside to this presumed linguistic similarity, an obsessive mix of nationalism and irredentism provoked the political campaign, which brought to the war in 1915. Cesare Caravaglios (1893-1937), a band conductor and a scholar, devoted his research on Neapolitan songs and cries of street vendors. Influenced…
Fifth Cartesian Meditation (§§ 55–64): The Schema »Unity-Multiplicity« as the (Not-So) Hidden Metaphysics in Husserl’s Cartesian Meditations
2023
The paper analyzes the last of the Husserlian Meditations with a focus on the metaphysical issue of unity and multiplicity.
La sovranità dell'Uno. Filosofia politica della grecità
2018
In this volume, Segreto traces the founding categories of political philosophy according to the greek ascendency. So Subject, community, sovereignty, politics represent a lexicon received by centuries and transformed itself by centuries. One is the red line that crosses classicity and modernity in our western political philosophy.
Smooth Feshbach map and operator-theoretic renormalization group methods
2003
Abstract A new variant of the isospectral Feshbach map defined on operators in Hilbert space is presented. It is constructed with the help of a smooth partition of unity, instead of projections, and is therefore called smooth Feshbach map . It is an effective tool in spectral and singular perturbation theory. As an illustration of its power, a novel operator-theoretic renormalization group method is described and applied to analyze a general class of Hamiltonians on Fock space. The main advantage of the new renormalization group method over its predecessors is its technical simplicity, which it owes to the use of the smooth Feshbach map.

Il diritto all’unità familiare e il superiore interesse del minore prevalgono sulle ragioni dell’espulsione (ordine pubblico e sicurezza) sulla base …
2020
The essay focuses on the recent case on the condition of migrants' minor children in the hypothesis of repatriation orders issued against one of their parents. In particular, the Author analysis the hard balancing of contrasting values, which Court have to provide for, between public order and the rights to family unity (collective) and best interest of the child (individual). The cases commented are both from ECHR and Italian Corte di Cassazione.
