Maģistra darba mērķis ir izveidot kokskaidu granulu ražotni vietējam tirgum, ar plānoto maksimālo ražošanas jaudu 12000 tonnas granulu gadā, kura 5 gadu laikā atpelnīs investētos 800000 EUR, iegūstot starptautisko ENPlus A1 granulu kvalitātes sertifikātu. The lowfin chub, Kyphosus vaigiensis, is reported for the first time off Favignana Island, Sicily, central Mediterranean Sea. The specimen was identified on the basis of morphometric and meristic characters as well as mitochondrial DNA sequences (COI and 16S-rDNA). Two, perhaps three, Kyphosus species-K. bigibbus, K. sectatrix and K. vaigiensis-have been occasionally recorded in the Mediterranean. These species occur both in the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions but it is likely they entered the Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar. However, it is unclear whether they have established reproductive native populations in the Mediterranean.

Entrepreneurial choices depend on trust : Some global evidence

Interpersonal trust and people’s trust in institutions are important components of social capital, which has been shown to have not only innate social value but also diverse direct and indirect positive social and economic impacts. Using data for an economically and globally diverse group of countries, we examine empirically how changes in interpersonal trust and trust in institutions affect entrepreneurship over time. Our findings suggest that (1) enhancing either type of trust leads to more entrepreneurial activity and (2) an increase in interpersonal trust causes a structural change in the composition of the TEA-type entrepreneurship. Economising failure and assembling a failure regime

Sociologists have largely neglected the topic of failure, and particularly the economising of failure, notwithstanding notable exceptions. This is puzzling, given the many adjacent literatures that have addressed the practices and processes of economising. Four features define our approach. First, it is argued that failure has none of the objectivity or inevitability often attributed to it. Second, it is suggested that failure be viewed as a variable ontology object. Glyphosate is the most used herbicide worldwide, targeting physiological pathways in plants. Recent studies have shown that glyphosate can also cause toxic effects in animals. We investigated the glyphosate-based herbicide (GBH)-induced changes in potato (Solanum tuberosum) plant chemistry and the effects of a GBH on the survival rate and oxidative status of the Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata). The beetles were reared on potato plants grown in pots containing soil treated with a GBH (Roundup Gold, 450 g/l) or untreated soil (water control). Planck scale physics and topology change through an exactly solvable model

We consider the collapse of a charged radiation fluid in a Planck-suppressed quadratic extension of General Relativity (GR) formulated à la Palatini. We obtain exact analytical solutions that extend the charged Vaidya-type solution of GR, which allows to explore in detail new physics at the Planck scale. Starting from Minkowski space, we find that the collapsing fluid generates wormholes supported by the electric field. We discuss the relevance of our findings in relation to the quantum foam structure of space–time and the meaning of curvature divergences in this theory.

Täplärapu (Pacifastacus leniusculus) on tulokaslaji Suomen vesistöissä. Sen on käyttäytymisellään ja ravinnonkäytöllään todettu vähentävän elinalueidensa eliöyhteisöjen monimuotoisuutta. Esimerkiksi Päijänteellä on havaittu joidenkin pohjaeläinten kuten kotiloiden tiheyksien olevan alhaisempia ravun elinalueilla kuin ravuttomilla alueilla. Pohjaselkärangattomat ovat välttämättömiä väli-isäntiä monelle kalan loiselle. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, millaisia muutoksia täplärapu voi välillisesti aiheuttaa kalojen loisyhteisöissä muuttamalla pohjaeläinten runsautta.
