Šajā bakalaura darbā pētīta tiešuma un mutiskuma principa ievērošana tiesas spriešanā, aizstāvības tiesību īstenošana tiesā, liecinieku liecības nolasīšanas ticamība tiesā, Kriminālprocesa likuma 501. panta piemērošana tiesā, ievērojot apsūdzētā tiesības, kas garantētas Eiropas Cilvēktiesību un pamatbrīvību konvencijas 6.panta 3.punkta d) apakšpunktā. Liecību nolasīšanas pamati Latvijā tiek salīdzināti ar citu valstu liecību nolasīšanas vai atskaņošanas tiesā pamatiem.

The ambivalence of English manifests itself in the discourses that surround it. English may be a resource and consume resources; it empowers and oppresses. The dichotomous discussion around the usefulness or dangers of English as a “global” or “world” language erases problematizations of the layered societal implications of English in localised contexts. English needs to be analysed not (only) as a language but (also) as the ideologies and societal structures intertwined with it. We examine English in two higher education contexts. The lowfin chub, Kyphosus vaigiensis, is reported for the first time off Favignana Island, Sicily, central Mediterranean Sea. The specimen was identified on the basis of morphometric and meristic characters as well as mitochondrial DNA sequences (COI and 16S-rDNA). Two, perhaps three, Kyphosus species - K. bigibbus, K. sectatrix and K. vaigiensis - have been occasionally recorded in the Mediterranean. These species occur both in the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions but it is likely they entered the Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar. However, it is unclear whether they have established reproductive native populations in the Mediterranean.

Background: An adequate level of muscular fitness is related to occupational performance in military personnel, including pilots flying high performance aircraft. The aim of this study was to describe the baseline level and the change in muscular fitness between the first and the second years of the Air Force Academy among fighter pilot cadets. Methods: The muscular strength and endurance test results of 182 male fighter pilot cadets were analyzed during their first year in the Air Force Academy and one year after.
