Artykuł prezentuje wyniki socjologicznych badań sondażowych nad dążeniami życiowymi młodzieży z województwa podkarpackiego w kontekście przyszłości tego regionu. Wśród młodzieży dominuje chęć nauki na studiach wyższych, w bardzo dobrym ośrodku akademickim z tradycjami. Młodzi ludzie oceniają również region jak tradycyjny i konserwatywny oraz mało postępowy. Poverty Permanence Among European Youth

Previous studies suggest that Scandinavian countries are the ones with the highest rates of youth poverty in Europe. This somewhat unexpected finding prompts the question whether the incidence of poverty is an appropriate measure of youth disadvantage. Instead of considering poverty rates we define here youth disadvantage in terms of the number of periods an individual is recorded to be below the poverty line. Using the European Community Household Panel, individuals are classified into different groups of poverty permanence, each reflecting severity of social disadvantage. Abstract Many studies reported various relationships between 2000-m rowing performance and anthropometric as well as metabolic variables, however, little is known about 60-s mean power in elite youth athletes. The aim of this study was to develop different regression models to predict 2000-m rowing indoor performance time (t2000) using anthropometric variables, maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and mean power established during a 60-s all-out test (W60) in national elite youth rowers.
