We aimed to identify PA trajectories from childhood to midlife and their determinants in a longitudinal population-based cohort. This study is a part of the Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study. In social vespid wasps, colony activity varies at many temporal scales. We studied the peak season activity (number of individuals entering the nest per min) of colonies of the social vespine wasp Dolichovespula saxonica in its native range in boreal Finland. Six colonies were monitored non-stop for a full day, starting before sunrise and ending after sunset. Shorter monitoring was carried out before and/or after the full-day monitoring. All colonies were active before sunrise and after sunset, and the overall activity was positively linked with colony size. Activity showed irregular minute-to-minute cycles in all colonies. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of technology-utilising rehabilitation on different intensities of physical activity (PA) and determine the explanatory factors of PA change. This was a prospective cohort study. Cardiac, musculoskeletal and vocational rehabilitees (N = 36) had 6 months of rehabilitation, which included guided training and counselling face-to-face as well as through distance technology. Stwierdzono, że zarówno aktywność tego układu katalitycznego, jak i właściwości kopolimerów w znacznym stopniu zależą od stosunku molowego Al:Zr (zmienianego w przedziae 1500—7000) i od temperatury kopolimeryzacji (tabele 1 i 2), natomiast wpływ czasu kopolimeryzacji jest mniejszy (tabela 3). A complex [TiCl3(THF)2(CH3CO2C2H5] (I) was used as a pre-cursor of titanium-magnesium catalysts for ethylene polymerization. The complex was ball-milled in hexane with [MgCl2(THF)2] and activated with AlEt3 used as cocatalyst for 15 min at 323 K. Ethylene was polymerized at 323 K in hexane at a pressure of 0.5 MPa. The reaction was quenched with methanolic 5% HCl and the polymer was washed with methanol and dried at 303 K for 12 h at 5 hPa. The catalyst was found to be very active. The role of Pseudomonas fluorescens in the process of Rhizoctonia solani growth inhibition

The aim of conducted research was to determine influence of metabolites produced by Pseudomonas fluorescens on the growth of 4 phytopathogenic strains of Rhizoctonia solani marked R1, R2, R3 and R4 which infect sugar beetroot. The antagonistic properties were assessed with the culture-plate method on PDA medium for P. fluorescens cultured for 4, 6 8, 10 and 24 hours at 25 o C for 5 days. The fungistatic activity of P. fluorescens was determined against the growth rate index and the rate of mycelial growth inhibition. Celem badań była ocena wpływu Pseudomonas fluorescens I-4 (Ps I-4) na Fusarium culmorum wyizolowanego z uprawy białego szparaga. Fusarium culmorum i pozostałe grzyby izolowano na podłożach PDA i szparagowym. Wśród izolatów uzyskanych z gleby najbardziej dominującymi patogenami były F. oxysporum i F. culmorum. Właściwości biologiczne nielotnych i lotnych związków Ps I-4 oceniano metodą hodowlano-płytkową na podłożach PDA i Czapka. Aktywność przeciwgrzybową określano na podstawie indeksu tempa wzrostu, zdolności kiełkowania zarodników, stopnia zahamowania wzrostu grzybni i zarodników.
