Healthy behavior patterns among physical education students
2020
Abstract Research indicates that university students fail to exhibit satisfactory levels of health-oriented behaviors regarding their diets, physical activity, preventive practices, alcohol and drug use, coping with stress, personal relationships and mental health. This study examines the differences in health behaviors between genders and BA majors. A cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 220 second-year undergraduate students, aged between 19 and 41 (M = 21.98, SD = 2.89), divided into three groups according to their BA majors: Physical Education (PE, n = 88, 40.00%), Technical Engineering (TE, n = 67, 30.46%), and Social Sciences (SS, n = 65, 29.55%). The majority of the sub…
Perceptions of Motivational Climate, Goal Orientations, and Light- to Vigorous-intensity Physical Activity Engagement of a Sample of Finnish Grade 5 …
2016
The aim of this study was the examination of relationships between children’s perceptions of motivational climate, goal orientation, and their engagement in light- to vigorous-intensity physical activity. The sample comprised 585 school children at age of 11 to 16-year-old from three small cities located in Northeast-Finland. The cross-sectional data was collected using online questionnaires in April 2014. The findings indicated that the higher task-involving motivational climate in physical education the children reported, the higher total light- and moderate-intensity levels they accumulated. Task-involving climate also indicated higher task orientation and ego-involving climate higher eg…
Perceived physical competence towards physical activity, and autonomous motivation and enjoyment in physical education as longitudinal predictors of …
2016
Objectives The aim of the study was to investigate if adolescents’ perceived physical competence towards physical activity (PA), and autonomous motivation and enjoyment in physical education (PE) during early adolescence can predict amount and intensity of self-reported physical activity six years later. Design This study utilized a 6-year longitudinal data set collected within Finnish school settings. Students responded to questionnaires measuring their perceived physical competence towards physical activity, and autonomous motivation and enjoyment in PE during their first year at middle school (Grade 7), and their PA engagement during their last year in high school (Grade 12). Methods A s…
Obtaining and research of callus mass of Gentiana lutea L roots
2015
The results of introduction to the culture in vitro Gentiana lutea L. are provided. The influence of phytohormones on growth processes of plant cells is researched, the optimal conditions for cultivation of Gentiana lutea L. are defined and chosen. Biomass extract is obtained and is researched on the presence in it the biologically active substances and antimicrobial activity.
RELATIONSHIPS OF SERUM URIC ACID WITH PLASMA RENIN ACTIVITY AND PLASMA ALDOSTERONE IN PRIMARY HYPERTENSION.
2013
Introduction: In experimental studies conducted in rats, raising serum uric acid (SUA) levels resulted in stimulation of renin expression. Studies in humans exploring the association of SUA with plasma renin activity (PRA) yielded conflicting results. Moreover, little is known about the relationship between plasma aldosterone concentration (PAC) and SUA. Aim: To analyse the relationships between SUA, PRA and PAC in a group of subjects with primary hypertension. Methods: We enrolled 372 patients (mean age 45 ± 12 years; women 33 %), with untreated primary hypertension, with normal renal function and without cardiovascular complications. Results: Spearman’s rank-correlation analyses showed th…
Umowa o udzielenie zamówienia na świadczenia zdrowotne
2018
Pro-Degradant Activity of Naturally Occurring Compounds on Polyethylene in Accelerate Weathering Conditions
2019
In this work, naturally occurring compounds, such as Vitamin E (VE) and Ferulic Acid (FA), at high concentrations, have been considered as pro-degradant agents for Low Density Polyethylene (PE). However, all obtained results using the naturally occurring molecules as pro-oxidant agents for PE have been compared with the results achieved using a classical pro-oxidant agent, such as calcium stearate (Ca stearate) and with neat PE. The preliminary characterization, through rheological, mechanical and thermal analysis, of the PE-based systems highlights that the used naturally occurring molecules are able to exert a slight plasticizing action on PE and subsequently the PE rigidity and crystalli…
Effect of hydrogen on the ethylene polymerization process over Ziegler–Natta catalysts supported on MgCl2(THF)2. II. Kinetic studies
2001
This article reports on a study of the effects of hydrogen on the activity of vanadium and titanium catalysts supported on MgCl2(THF)2 in ethylene polymerization. It was found that hydrogen did not change the stable nature of the active sites and the polydispersity index of the polyethylene obtained. The propagation rate, expressed as kp, was found to be independent of the presence and concentration of hydrogen, indicating that this reacting agent does not modify the reactivity of the active sites. However, the presence of hydrogen in the polymerization medium is responsible for partial deactivation of the active sites just before polymerization is initiated.
Preparation of tungstophosphoric acid/cerium-doped NH2-UiO-66 Z-scheme photocatalyst: a new candidate for green photo-oxidation of dibenzothiophene a…
2021
International audience; The goal of this study was to introduce an effective visible-light induced photocatalytic system with a good ability for photocatalytic oxidative desulfurization (PODS) and denitrogenation (PODN) using molecular oxygen (O2) as an oxidant. In this regard, tungestophosphoric acid (PW12) was supported onto cerium-doped NH2-UiO-66 (PW12/Ce-NUiO-66) and employed for the photo-oxidation of dibenzothiophene (DBT) and quinoline (Qu). Herein, using cerium (Ce) as a “mediator” facilitated the separation of charge carriers, while NH2-UiO-66 remarkably enhanced the surface area with plentiful adsorption sites and shifted the adsorption edge of PW12to the visible region. The sum …
