Numerous studies have investigated the roles of the type 1 cannabinoid receptor (CB1) in glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons. Here, we used the cell-type-specific CB1 rescue model in mice to gain insight into the organizational principles of plasma membrane targeting and Gαi/o protein signalling of the CB1 receptor at excitatory and inhibitory terminals of the frontal cortex and hippocampus. Molecules regulating morphogenesis by cell-cell interactions are the cadherins, a class of calcium-dependent adhesion molecules. One of its members, M-cadherin, has been isolated from a myoblast cell line (Donalies et al. [1991] Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 88:8024—8028). Binding properties of mechanically and enzymatically isolated hepatocytes for IgG and C3.

— The presence of Fc and C3 receptors was studied on mechanically and enzymatically isolated rabbit, mouse and rat hepatocytes as well as on hepatocytes derived from primary cultures. The same cell preparations were used for studying the uptake of an antibody against nuclear antigens. Mechanically isolated hepatocytes were able to bind AIgG and activate complement. Comparison of viability assays for Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts after disinfection.

Abstract In order to test various viability assays for Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts were used to infect HCT-8 cells in vitro or baby mice. Infected cells were either stained with fluorescent anti- Cryptosporidium -antibody or lysed and subjected to C. parvum- specific PCR after 48 h. Titrations with infective oocysts were performed and compared to oocysts disinfected with Neopredisan © for 2 h at varying concentrations. Caecal smears and histological sections from infected animals were examined in parallel. A specific CD4 epitope bound by tregalizumab mediates activation of regulatory T cells by a unique signaling pathway

CD4(+)CD25(+) regulatory T cells (Tregs) represent a specialized subpopulation of T cells, which are essential for maintaining peripheral tolerance and preventing autoimmunity. The immunomodulatory effects of Tregs depend on their activation status. Here we show that, in contrast to conventional anti-CD4 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), the humanized CD4-specific monoclonal antibody tregalizumab (BT-061) is able to selectively activate the suppressive properties of Tregs in vitro. The antigens characterize distinct subsets which partially overlap with those defined by morphological criteria.
