Manuel Momparler Marco, empresario e inventor valenciano», recoge la memoria familiar empresarial de varias generaciones, iniciada por Manuel Momparler Marco (1844-1922), con el fin de conocer mejor sus orígenes desde la emigración a Cuba y la guerra de Cuba, hasta la Guerra Civil española, el exilio y la vuelta, comenzando de nuevo. Este texto es parte e la memoria familiar, en la que solo se recoge la parte empresarial, de innovación de la industria cerámica valenciana. La "Moderna valenciana" fue una de las fábricas de cerámica más importantes de Valencia desde finales del siglo XIX hasta la Guerra Civil. Alien plant invasions in Mediterranean habitats: an assessment for Sicily

AbstractLevels of plant invasions in different habitat types were assessed in several regional studies, but few of them were from the Mediterranean. Here we compare the levels of vascular plant invasion across habitats and plant communities of Sicily. We used a large dataset of plant species presences/absences in vegetation plots to analyze the invasion patterns across habitats considering biogeography, life form and phenology of alien plants. Vegetation plots were classified based on the EUNIS classification of European habitats. The invasiveness of each species was expressed in terms of its absolute and percentage frequency. AbstractIn 1949 Salvatore Caronia Roberti published the volume Introduzione allo studio della composizione architettonica. It is a compendium of his own studies and research came together in his architecture, testifying to the close interweaving of theory and practice. Caronia Roberti was a student of Ernesto Basile, one of the leading exponents of Art Nouveau, a style in which proportions played a marginal place. Using a characterization method based on the Epstein's frame principle, we study the evolution of the magnetic and losses characteristics of NO Fe-Si sheets with respect to the fundamental frequency, the temperature and the wave front under time-variable sinusoidal or constant wave front trapezoidal magnetic flux density. The objective of this study is that one, starting from the initial considerations, to give back to the history of architecture, through drawing as a critical means of inquiry, the thought and work of some women-architect who, between 1926 and 1962, have designed and/or built buildings of fine architectural quality.
