Most anticancer molecules are administered in body-size-based dosing schedules, bringing up unsolved issues regarding pharmacokinetic data in heavy patients. The worldwide spread of obesity has not been matched by improved methods and strategies for tailored drug dosage in this population. The weight or body surface area (BSA)-based approaches may fail to fully reflect the complexity of the anthropometric features besides obesity in cancer patients suffering from sarcopenia. Celem artykułu jest próba diagnozy i oceny stanu (postaci) wykształcenia ludności na obszarach wiejskich w Polsce, określanego mianem awansu edukacyjnego oraz uwarunkowań jego kształtowania (tło). Regional concentration of university graduates : The role of high school grades and parental background

In this paper, we analyse long-term changes in the regional distribution and migration flows of university graduates in Finland and Sweden. This study is based on detailed longitudinal population register data, including information on high school grades and parental background. We find a distinct pattern of skill divergence across regions in both countries over the last 3 decades. The uneven distribution of human capital has been reinforced by the mobility patterns of university graduates, for whom regional sorting by high school grades and parental background is evident. Na podstawie analizy przestrzennego rozmieszczenia parków narodowych i obszarów chronionego krajobrazu Polski (parki krajobrazowe), Czech, Słowacji i Węgier oceniono czy tworzone w poszczególnych krajach systemy ochrony przyrody i krajobrazu są reprezentatywne również dla prowincji fizycznogeograficznych w granicach państw. Stwierdzono znaczną reprezentatywność w prowincjach głównie górskich i wskazano na dalsze możliwości ochrony. Measuring the perceived value of rural tourism: a field survey in the western Sicilian agritourism sector

Rural tourism constitutes a valuable tool for the sustainable development of many rural areas. This paper examines the concept of perceived value in rural tourism. A quantitative field survey was carried out in some main Western Sicilian holiday farms (agritourisms) during the Spring 2014. A theoretical model of the tourists’ perceived value in this specific context was developed and validated, using a 22-item scale.
