Il rapporto banca-impresa: aspetti definitori e premesse teorico-metodologiche.

2016

Where Did the Money Go? Endogenous Money Creation for International Fraudulent Purposes - The Case of the 2015 Moldovan Banking Scandal

2015

On Monday 4 May 2015, the speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova published the Kroll report on his Internet blog after thousands of people rallied on Sunday 3 May in the capital, Chisinau, to protest against endemic corruption in the country, and demand recovery of the missing billions in the Ilan Shor group scandal. The Kroll report aims at investigating the apparent theft of nearly one-fifth of the country's annual GDP. In a spectacular lender-of-last resort move, the Moldovan central bank was forced to issue some 16 billion lei ($870 million) in emergency loans to keep the economy afloat. The Kroll report focuses on three commercial banks that account for a third of the country…

A Need for a Paradigm Shift in the Spanish Banking Sector? The Evolution from Regional to Multinational Banks in Spain.

2014

Since the approval of Spain¿s 2012 National Budget on March 30, 2012, some doubts and controversies have added up to many fears in the private sector regarding the measures and stimuli that the Spanish government was going to undertake. At the same time, this situation was in some measure aggravated by the financial backlog of many small and medium companies, which are and will continue, in the following years to be completely unable to comply with their financial requirements. In line with Boronat Ombuena¿s (2009a, 2009b, 2010, 2012) requirements in his new approach to finance and private sector liaisons, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the recent years of the credit …

Money creation and the state : A critical assessment ofchartalism

2004

International audience; The article discusses various issues related to money creation and the state. Chartalists believe that attempts at separating the central bank's and the treasury's functions is merely confused discussion. Indeed, as economist L. Wray clearly states in response to previous critiques, it should be obvious, but it usually does not appear to be so that central bank liabilities do not differ in any significant degree from treasury liabilities; in other words, they can treat both as essentially high powered money or liabilities of the state. In this sense, Wray proposes to simply consolidate the central bank and the treasury, calling the conglomerate the State, and combine…

Consumer engagement and behavioral intention toward continuous use of innovative mobile banking applications - A case study of Finland

2016

This study tests the effects of users’ self-congruence and personal innovativeness on consumer engagement in the context of mobile banking (m-banking) and mobile payment (m-payment) applications. In addition, it examines the effects of engagement and perceived risk on continuous usage intention. We test our hypotheses with two convenience samples of users of m-banking and m-payment applications (total N=1516) using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results show that a) selfcongruence positively influences all three types of consumer engagement, b) personal innovativeness has a small effect on cognitive processing and affection, c) affection and activation have a positi…
