L’autocontrollo della soggettività nella ricerca empirica

2019

To promote a scientific attitude in teachers, researchers who use an empirical method in the educational field, they have to self-control so that, knowingly or not, some personal attitudes do not affect validity of the results achieved.

UN NUOVO MODELLO PER LA STIMA DELL’ERODIBILITÀ RILL

2015

Escalating CO2 degassing at the Pisciarelli fumarolic system, and implications for the ongoing Campi Flegrei unrest

2019

Abstract This short communication aims at providing an updated report on degassing activity and ground deformation variations observed during the ongoing (2012–2019) Campi Flegrei caldera unrest, with a particular focus on Pisciarelli, currently its most active fumarolic field. We show that the CO2 flux from the main Pisciarelli fumarolic vent (referred as “Soffione”) has increased by a factor > 3 since 2012, reaching in 2018–2019 levels (>600 tons/day) that are comparable to those typical of a medium-sized erupting arc volcano. A substantial widening of the degassing vents and bubbling pools, and a further increase in CO2 concentrations in ambient air (up to 6000 ppm), have also been detec…

Experimental Analysis of the Thermal Performance of Wood Fiber Insulating Panels

2023

During the last decades, attention to energy and environmental problems has significantly grown, along with the development of international and national policies addressing sustainability issues. In the construction sector, one of the most widespread energy efficiency strategies consists of thermal insulation of buildings thanks to external insulating panels. Among these, wood fiber is an insulating material characterized by a natural, eco-sustainable and biodegradable structure, coming from the recycling of waste wood from sawmills. The present study aimed to characterize small test building insulated with wood fiber panels from the thermal point of view, comparing the results with those …

Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activities of Coumarins from the Roots of Ferulago campestris (Apiaceae)

2009

We report the isolation of several coumarins and the stereochemical assessment of some pyranocoumarins, as well as the antibacterial and antioxidant activities of the three most abundant ones (grandivittin, agasyllin and aegelinol benzoate) isolated from the roots of Ferulago campestris collected in Sicily and of the hydrolysis product (aegelinol). Aegelinol and agasyllin showed antibacterial activity against nine ATCC and the same clinically isolated Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains. At a concentration between 16 and 125 μg/mL both coumarins showed a significant antibacterial effect against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. In particular the ATCC strains Staph…

Internet e campagne elettorali: la prospettiva dell'ordinamento italiano

2021

This paper intends to discuss the issue of regulation of social networks as a media space employed by political actors (individuals or organizations) for the formation of public opinion and the construction of consensus in the context of the electoral campaigns: in more synthetic terms, social networks as an instrument of electoral propaganda. The main subject of my essay will concern, therefore, the problems de iure condito and de iure condendo about the subjection of communication on social media to rules aimed at ensuring a fair comparison between parties, lists, candidates in the electoral competition and, with it, the value of freedom and authenticity of the vote that emanates from art…
