International audience; The response of photosynthetic activity to interannual rainfall variations in Africa South of the Sahara is examined using 20 years (1981-2000) of Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) AVHRR data. Datu ievākšana, veicot kontrolzveju ar zinātniskajiem tīkliem trīs gadu garumā, četrās sezonās (rudens, ziema, pavasaris, vasara) sniedz precīzu ieskatu par zivju sugu sezonālajām izmaiņām. Estimation de la différence de température entre la forêt et les sites ouverts dans le Jura

International audience; Cet article porte sur la modélisation statistique des différences qui apparaissent entre la température observée en forêt et en site ouvert. Pour ce faire, nous utilisons un corpus de 29 couples de stations situées à faible distance l'une de l'autre dans les deux milieux et localisés dans le Jura (France). Les températures minimales (tn) et maximales (tx) ont été acquises de décembre 2014 à octobre 2015. La modélisation est fondée sur un modèle de régression où les variables explicatives sont deux variables temporelles relatives aux conditions atmosphériques (amplitude journalière et écart à la normale 1981-2010 des températures). This paper describes the study of human fibrocartilaginous entheses in a multiple indigenous sicanian Sicilian burial dated between VI and V century BC. The tomb, a cave burial, was altered by grave robbers. From the collected osteologic material it was possible to perform the sorting method and to extrapolate the NMI. The research was focused on the scoring and on the analysis of the Entheseal Changes (EC) of the long bones of upper limb and calcaneus; to extrapolate likely patterns of muscle activity according to the approach of the MSM applied in literature we have utilized the Coimbra Method. Forest soils represent a large carbon pool and already small changes in this pool may have an important effect on the global carbon cycle. To predict the future development of the soil organic carbon (SOC) pool, well-validated models are needed. We applied the litter and soil carbon model Yasso15 to 1838 plots of the German national forest soil inventory (NFSI) for the period between 1985 and 2014 to enables a direct comparison to the NFSI measurements.
