Activation of anticancer therapeutics such as ruthenium (Ru) complexes is currently a topic of intense investigation. The success of phototherapy relies on photoactivation of therapeutics after the light passes through skin and tissue. In this paper, the photoactivation of anticancer Ru complexes with 671-nm red light through tissue of different thicknesses was studied. Four photoactivatable Ru complexes with different absorption wavelengths were synthesized. Abstract Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are a class of persistent contaminants which are found all over the world in the marine environment. Sparus aurata fibroblast cell line (SAF-1) was exposed to increasing concentrations of PBDEs 47 and 99, until 72 h to evaluate the cytotoxicity, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and the expression of some selected molecular markers related to cell cycle, cell signaling, energetic balance and oxidative stress (p53, erk-1, hif-1α and nrf-2), by real-time PCR. We are reporting the first supramolecular dimeric units of basic carboxylates. The neutral [FeIII 2MIIO] motif for different 3d M metals is covalently bound through 2,2′-bipyrimidine. We have structurally characterized the hexanuclear clusters and the related trinuclear building blocks. Their magnetic properties have been fully analyzed and DFT calculations have been performed as a supplementary tool. La técnica más empleada para la restauración de la barrera cutánea en los pacientes quemados es el injerto de piel autólogo de espesor parcial. Su obtención conlleva generar un área cruenta a nivel de otra localización cutánea del mismo paciente, conocida como zona donante. Esta área cura generalmente en un período de entre 7 y 14 días mediante un proceso de cicatrización dirigida. Cuando existen grandes defectos que requieren cobertura, como es el caso de los grandes quemados en los que la extensión de la quemadura limita la disponibilidad de área donante, pueden ser necesarias varias tomas de la misma zona. Sin embargo, la implantación del sistema de Bolonia implica un trabajo más autónomo de los estudiantes y el desarrollo de nuevas habilidades como el trabajo en grupo. Este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo fundamental la realización de un análisis sobre los elementos que han justificado la calidad de los procesos de asunción de la transparencia en los ayuntamientos de Alicante y València (2008-2017). En concreto, se partirá del neo-institucionalismo sociológico y de los índices de Transparencia Internacional para caracterizar esta herramienta de buen gobierno y la importancia relativa en ambos ayuntamientos.
