Signal-to-noise ratio in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces

This paper introduces the kernel signal-to-noise ratio (kSNR) for different machine learning and signal processing applications}. The kSNR seeks to maximize the signal variance while minimizing the estimated noise variance explicitly in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space (rkHs). The kSNR gives rise to considering complex signal-to-noise relations beyond additive noise models, and can be seen as a useful signal-to-noise regularizer for feature extraction and dimensionality reduction. A group G is called triply factorized in the product of two subgroups A, B and a normal subgroup K of G ,i fG = AB = AK = BK. This decomposition of G has been studied by several authors, investigating on those properties which can be carried from A, B and K to G .I t is known that if A, B and K are FC-groups and K has restrictions on the rank, then G is again an FC-group. Fingerprint classification is a key issue in automatic fingerprint identification systems. One of the main goals is to reduce the item search time within the fingerprint database without affecting the accuracy rate. Observation of individual spin quantum transitions of a single antiproton

We report on the detection of individual spin quantum transitions of a single trapped antiproton in a Penning trap. The spin-state determination, which is based on the unambiguous detection of axial frequency shifts in presence of a strong magnetic bottle, reaches a fidelity of 92.1% . Spin-state initialization with >99.9% fidelity and an average initialization time of 24 min are demonstrated. This is a major step towards an antiproton magnetic moment measurement with a relative uncertainty on the part-per-billion level.
