ABSTRACT The paper describes a finite differences Trombe wall model validation, based on experimental data recorded at a passive systems test station in Central Italy. The computer code has been checked step by step, due to the different reliability of the data and to the various algorithms used in the code. The Role of Institutions in the Migration of Corporate Governance Practice into Emerging Economies The Case of Africa

This study examines the role of institutional environment in influencing the migration of corporate governance best practice into 22 emerging African economies. Using a unique and comprehensive sample hand-collected sample of 202 IPO firms from across the continent we adopt a novel institutional logics perspective in studying the diffusion of CEO salary disclosure – a central element of corporate transparency. New faunal and floral records from Ocean Drilling Project Hole 963A, resolved at ?80-year spacing, provide evidence of suborbital scale climate variability in the central Mediterranean Sea throughout Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 5. Cold events in the central Mediterranean Sea, indicated by low abundances of warm species and high abundances of cold species, are also evident in a planktonic foraminifera paleoclimatic curve. We consider Gray codes and efficient exhaustive generating algorithms for the sets belonging to three major classes of restricted words, that are: (1) restricted growth sequences, (2) factor avoiding q-ary words, and (3) pattern avoiding permutations. For the first two classes, our Gray codes (and thus, our generating algorithms) are based on order relations obtained by specializing known order relations; namely Reflected Gray Code (RGC) order and its variations, and we call them Reflected Gray Code based orders. AbstractIn an exploratory study of mutual intelligibility between the sign languages of the northern part of Belgium (Flemish Sign Language, VGT), the southern part of Belgium (French Belgian Sign Language, LSFB), and the Netherlands (Sign Language of the Netherlands, NGT), we tested the comprehension of VGT by signers of LSFB and NGT. Differentiation in language and gesture use during early bilingual development of hearing children of Deaf parents

Hearing children of Deaf parents simultaneously acquire sign language and spoken language, which have many structural differences and represent two different modalities. We video-recorded eight children every six months between the ages of 12 and 24 months during three different play sessions: with their Deaf parent, with the Deaf parent and a hearing adult, and with a hearing adult alone. Additionally, we collected data on their vocabulary development in both sign language and spoken language. Se ofrece un completo análisis codicológico del manuscrito 2763 de la Biblioteca Universitaria de Salamanca. Se trata del volumen denominado SA10 en el sistema de siglas propuesto por Brian Dutton (1990-91), un códice que agrupa dos cancioneros manuscritos independientes de poesía medieval, fechables en la primera mitad del siglo XVI. El estudio exhaustivo de la estricta materialidad del códice se completa con el recuento y análisis de las obras y autores seleccionados, así como de su disposición y secuenciación.
