AbstractIn this paper we consider a finite-dimensional vector space $${\mathcal {P}}$$ P over the Galois field $${\text {GF}}(2),$$ GF ( 2 ) , and the family $${\mathcal {B}}_k$$ B k (respectively, $${\mathcal {B}}_k^*$$ B k ∗ ) of all the k-sets of elements of $$\mathcal {P}$$ P (respectively, of $${\mathcal {P}}^*= {\mathcal {P}} \setminus \{0\}$$ P ∗ = P \ { 0 } ) summing up to zero. We compute the parameters of the 3-design $$({\mathcal {P}},{\mathcal {B}}_k)$$ ( P , B k ) for any (necessarily even) k, and of the 2-design $$({\mathcal {P}}^{*},{\mathcal {B}}_k^{*})$$ ( P ∗ , B k ∗ ) for any k. Bifurcations of links of periodic orbits in non-singular Morse - Smale systems on

The set of periodic orbits of a non-singular Morse - Smale (NMS) flow on defines a link; a characterization of all possible links of NMS flows on has been developed by Wada. In the frame of codimension-one bifurcations, this characterization allows us to study the restrictions a link requires for suffering a given bifurcation. We also derive the topological description of the new link and the possibility of relating links by a chain of this type of bifurcation.

In two decisions of the First Civil Chamber dated 8 March 2023, the French Cour de cassation indicated that, even though articles 7 and 21 of the Act of 31 December 1971 and article 142 of the Decree of 27 November 1991 referred to conciliation prior to arbitration by the President of the Bar, it was not compulsory. Non-compliance with this requirement cannot therefore be sanctioned by a dismissal.

Niniejsza praca stanowi podsumowanie projektu badawczego Diagnostyka sądowo-kryminalna w orzekaniu i wykonywaniu warunkowego przedterminowego zwolnienia w teorii i praktyce sądowej, zrealizowanego przez Instytut Wymiaru Sprawiedliwości. Celem projektu, w tym w szczególności przeprowadzonego w jego ramach badania empirycznego, było (m.in.) zweryfi kowanie twierdzenia, w myśl którego w pracy administracji jednostek penitencjarnych oraz sądów penitencjarnych występują niedostatki profesjonalnej i pogłębionej prognozy kryminologicznej. Intraocular Telescopic System Design: Optical and Visual Simulation in a Human Eye Model

Purpose. To design an intraocular telescopic system (ITS) for magnifying retinal image and to simulate its optical and visual performance after implantation in a human eye model. Methods. Design and simulation were carried out with a ray-tracing and optical design software. Two different ITS were designed, and their visual performance was simulated using the Liou-Brennan eye model. The difference between the ITS was their lenses’ placement in the eye model and their powers. Ray tracing in both centered and decentered situations was carried out for both ITS while visual Strehl ratio (VSOTF) was computed using custom-made MATLAB code. Results.
