Il testo si riferisce a due importanti opere di architettura industriale in Sicilia, l'hangar per dirigibili a Marsala di Cesare Garboli (1917) e le due aviorimesse a Marsala di Pier Luigi Nervi (1938), abbandonate e in stato di forte degrado. La loro peculiarità sta in un rapporto molto stretto con il paesaggio: si tratta di due siti marini di grande valore. Per cui il progetto di restauro dell'edificio si accompagna con quello del luogo.

The buildings of the Tifeo Augusta Power Station (SR) significantly tell us, even today, the history of the Sicilian industrial dream at the end of the Fifties. However, with the passing of time, it revealed the underlying contradictions still present today in Augusta together with polluting and oppressive petrochemical plants built during those times. Il recupero della centrale termoelettrica Tifeo di Augusta, progettata da Giuseppe Samonà alla fine degli anni ‘50, oggi può costituire un significativo tassello nel percorso di riqualificazione dell’intera area della baia di Augusta, ponendosi come attivatore puntuale di possibili processi di ben più ampia dimensione.
