We show that the Heisenberg group is not minimal in looking down. This answers Problem 11.15 in `Fractured fractals and broken dreams' by David and Semmes, or equivalently, Question 22 and hence also Question 24 in `Thirty-three yes or no questions about mappings, measures, and metrics' by Heinonen and Semmes. The non-minimality of the Heisenberg group is shown by giving an example of an Ahlfors $4$-regular metric space $X$ having big pieces of itself such that no Lipschitz map from a subset of $X$ to the Heisenberg group has image with positive measure, and by providing a Lipschitz map from the Heisenberg group to the space $X$ having as image the whole $X$. Beginning in 2014 March, the OSIRIS (Optical, Spectroscopic, and Infrared Remote Imaging System) cameras began capturing images of the nucleus and coma (gas and dust) of comet 67P/Churyumov¿Gerasimenko using both the wide angle camera (WAC) and the narrow angle camera (NAC). The many observations taken since July of 2014 have been used to study the morphology, location, and temporal variation of the comet's dust jets. The new General Data Protection Regulation has created a new legal framework that aims to radically change the current model, giving users greater powers to control their data. A good example of this is the express statement, and for the first time, of the right to be forgotten, which allows citizens to digitally erase their data when other fundamental rights are endangered.

The aim of this research was to optimise the performance of the storage, retrieval, analysis and interactive visualisation of biomolecular pathways data. This was achieved by the adoption of new technologies and a variety of highly optimised data structures, algorithms and strategies across the different layers of the software.
