The essay focuses on the speech “Perì Sophiston” (Concerning Sophists) attributed to Alcidamas a rhetorician who was pupil of Gorgias and thought in Athens between 410 and 365 BC. In this speech Alcidamas stresses the superiority of extempore (though prepared) speeches over written one. The speech is particularly interesting because it represents the specifically rhetorical point of view on the issue of the differences between written and spoken word. The laparoscopic approach to Acute Mesenteric Ischemia is today unclear and less debated (AMI). There are in fact no clinical evidences on this particular focus and only few articles can be found in several databases (pubmed, cochrane library, etc.), and the problem concerns both diagnostic and therapeutic utilization of the procedure. These considerations were already taken into account in 2012 EAES guidelines where the Grade of Recommendation (GoR) of laparoscopy in AMI was low in both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects. According to the new Oxford Classification [1], the use of laparoscopy in patients with suspicious or diagnosed AMI presents a weak GoR.

l fenomeno dei cosiddetti “foreign fighters” e il verificarsi di attacchi terroristici in alcuni paesi dell’Unione europea hanno sollevato la questione relativa alla privazione della cittadinanza come misura di contrasto e tutela della sicurezza pubblica. Questo articolo intende contribuire al dibattito sulla legittimità giuridica di tale misura, esaminando i recenti sviluppi della legislazione in materia e le sue applicazioni in Belgio, Francia, Regno Unito e Italia.

The so-called "foreign fighters" phenomenon and the occurrence of terrorist attacks in some EU countries have raised the question of the deprivation of citizenship as a measure of contrast and protection of public security. This article aims to contribute to the debate on the legal legitimacy of that measure by examining recent developments of the legislation on the subject and its applications in Belgium France Uk and Italy.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to better understand how issues may be framed in public debate. The outcomes of this debate affect organizations. “Poisonous plants” or schools of virtue? The second “rise” of the novel in eighteenth-century Spain

If Spanish literature (both Catalan and Castilian)had played a central role in the development of fictional prose narrative from the fifteenth century, the late eighteenth century witnessed a second "rise" of the novel, consisting not only of original works, but also of translations, in connection with changes in reading practices and new models of domesticity and sensibility. This essay focuses on moral debate about the sentimental novel, showing how it was both politicised (new types of fiction being usually perceived as foreign and subversive) and gendered, and how it contributed to shape women's uneasy relation to the novel in their reading and writing.

Den største flyktningekrisen siden den 2. verdenskrig har bidratt til å bringe den politiske opinionen i Europa stadig lengre mot det populistiske og nasjonalistiske høyre der vinklingene i all hovedsak handler om utfordringene og problemene som flyktningene bringer med seg. I det som er blitt betegnet som et kappløp mot bunnen har de europeiske statene igangsatt et svarteperspill der det kappes om å gjøre seg minst mulig attraktive for flyktningene. Midt i denne krisen er barna de mest sårbare av alle. Hver enkelt av dem har rett til beskyttelse i henhold til Barnekonvensjonen. Flyktningekrisen påvirker opinion også i Norge og hvordan majoritetsbefolkningen tar i mot de som er innvilget opphold her i landet. Migrasjonsforskningen er og har vært preget av de store fortellingene der innvandring ses i sammenheng med landets utvikling generelt. Graden av suksess eller fiasko blir ofte målt ved å se på flyktningenes tilpasningsevne til statlige og sosiale rammer. I denne oppgaven vil fokus ligge på de små fortellingene; enslige unge flyktningers egne erfaringer i møte med et nytt land. Med utgangspunkt i de unges forhold til organiserte fritidsaktiviteter ønsker jeg å belyse deres egenforståelse av hva som hemmer og fremmer deres integreringsprosess i Norge.

Secondo i dati EUROSTAT (2019), circa il 40% delle città europee con più di 200.000 abitanti stanno perdendo popolazione; una contrazione che si esplicita maggiormente, sotto il profilo spaziale, in una progressiva sottoutilizzazione del patrimonio edificato, così come nel contestuale incremento di aree e terreni in stato di abbandono. Urban shrinkage became a central issue in both the scientific debate and the political agenda of several European cities. According to EUROSTAT data (2019) about 40% of European cities with more than 200000 inhabitants are losing population. A shrinkage that is more explicit in a progressive underutilization of the built heritage as well as in the concomitant increase of abandoned areas. In this controversial framework of structural mutation of the city urban policies in Europe try to decline the degrowth as a strategic opportunity to invest in green areas in order to increase urban quality and to act simultaneously on the development of local economies. With respect to the above framework this contribution focuses on the evaluation of the effects that the project of new public green spaces have generated on some sample areas on the outskirts of the city of Palermo. An urban context where according to the latest Svimez Report (2019) the phenomenon of urban shrinkage represents a constantly growing trend and on which the new Master Plan operates through a revival of interventions on environmental capital and urban green areas of the city.Settore ICAR/21 - Urbanistica
