The chromosome bands 15q24.1-15q24.3 contain a complex region with numerous segmental duplications that predispose to regional microduplications and microdeletions, both of which have been linked to intellectual disability, speech delay and autistic features. The region may also harbour common inversion polymorphisms whose functional and phenotypic manifestations are unknown. Aquest article presenta els elements clau de sis projectes d'investigació alicada dins la realitat local gallega entre els anys 2001 i 2011. Tots ells han sigut realitzats pel grup SEPA (Pedagogia Social i Educació Ambiental) de la Universitat de Santiago de Compostela en conveni amb diverses entitats; en els casos que s'analitzen, ajuntaments, Diputació, Fundació Ciutat de la Cultura de Galicia i Eix Atlàntic del Nord-oest Peninsular. També s'ofereix una reflexió des de l'experiència respecte al potencial i las limitacions d'aquesta mena d'investigació.

The aim of our paper is to test an analytical framework that combines both the composition in urban and agricultural land covers and their spatial configuration into four general agri-urban patterns: isolated fields, urban belt fields, periurban agricultural areas and rural areas.
