In Finland, a conceptualization of willingness to defend has been a traditional part of the defence-related debates and the state has vested interests to maintain the high level of willingness. This paper examines the connections to the Second World War in political discourse related to willingness to defend. Based on the analysis of political and societal debates, I will demonstrate that the Second World War serves as an historical experience for the understanding of the concept by offering an idea of individual sacrifice relevant to the survival of the state, as a prime example. peerReviewed

En este artículo se propone, como punto de partida, la elaboración de un corpus de discurso turístico, incluido en una base de datos informática diseñada para tal efecto. En una segunda etapa, se analiza, cómo se contextualizan y usan los términos relativos a la tipología de habitaciones en las páginas web de promoción de hoteles, y si se ajustan o no a la definición que de ellos se ofrece en normativas y diccionarios. International audience; We report first results from a teaching intervention in an ordinary differential equations (ODEs) course for engineering students. Our aim is to challenge traditional approaches to teaching of Existence and Uniqueness Theorems (EUTs) through the design of problems that students cannot solve by applying well-rehearsed techniques or familiar methods. Šie literārie teksti lielākoties sastāv no mutvārdu diskursa, tāpēc veids, kā runātāji savā starpā virza un attīsta sarunu, daudz atklāj par atainoto situāciju. Šajā Bakalaurā darba analizēts dialoga secības izkārtojums Oskara Vailda lugas “Ideāls vīrs” fragmentā, kurā sarunājas lugas divi galvenie personāži, Sers Roberts Čilterns un Misis Čevelija, lugas pirmajā cēlienā.
