Spēles ir ļoti aizraujošs laika pavadīšanas līdzeklis, tādēļ ir radušies virzieni, kuri mēģina spēlēs izmantotos procesus un elementus pārnest arī uz citām, ne ar spēlēm saistītām, nozarēm. Galvenais darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kas ir spēliskošana, no kā tā sastāv un kā tā var tikt izmantota mācību sistēmas. Tas tiek darīts, lai varētu tikt izplānoti iespējamie spēliskošanas elementi IT mācību platformai ReSeLa, kas ir paredzēta praktiskai datortīklu un datorsistēmu apguvei. Ilustratīvie elementi spēļu kāršu dizainā

Diplomdarba tēma ir “Ilustratīvie elementi spēļu kāršu dizainā”. Balstoties uz teorētiskajā daļā uzzināto un empīriskajā daļā izpētīto, darba mērķis ir izveidot jaunu spēļu kāršu dizainu galda spēlei “Saboteur” izmantojot ilustratīvos elementus, kas ir raksturīgi tradicionālajām spēļu kārtīm. Teorētiskajā daļā ir aprakstīta tradicionālo spēļu kāršu vēsture, kā arī ilustratīvie elementi, kas ir atrodami spēļu kāršu dizainā, to paskaidrojums un nozīme. Tiek izvirzīti vizuālā dizaina principi uz kuriem balstoties būtu iespējams izveidot funkcionālu spēļu kāršu dizainu. Statiska vizuāla materiāla narativitāte un tā radītā mentālā struktūra

Maģistra darba mērķis ir pētīt statiska vizuāla materiāla radīto mentālo reprezentāciju un pārbaudīt, vai tā atbilst naratīva nosacījumiem. Darba ietvaros tēma ir pētīta no kognitīvās naratoloģijas perspektīvas. Darba teorētisko bāzi veido teorijas par mentālo struktūru veidošanos un naratoloģijas atzinumi par naratīva uzbūvi. Darba empīriskā daļa sastāv no trim savstarpēji saistītiem pētījumiem, kuros dati ir vākti ar aptaujas, produkcijas uzdevuma, pieņemamības vērtēšanas un protokolu analīzes palīdzību. Flexural Behavior of Steel Fibrous Reinforced Concrete Deep Beams

Experimental research was carried out regarding the flexural behavior of deep beams cast with plain and fibrous concrete with hooked steel fibers, and subjected to monotonic vertical loads. Four deep fiber-reinforced concrete beams were cast. Two of them were made of plain concrete with main and web steel reinforcements (RC), and two were made of hooked steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) with main steel reinforcements. The experimental results show the brittle behavior of reinforced deep RC members characterized by crushing of concrete struts and fracture of web steel bars. As discussed in literature, the accurate analysis of the modern co-cured joints between composite materials or between a metal and a composite material (hybrid joints) is complicated by the influence of the interface resin layer on the interface singular stress field. In such joints, in fact, there is not a proper adhesive layer and the thickness of the resin layer, that plays the role of the adhesive, is not constant due to the presence of the reinforcing fibers in the composite adherent. Teorētiskajā daļā aplūkota zinātniska literatūra par Plūtarha un Svētonija stila, Βίοι Παράλληλοι un Svetonija De vita Caesarum vispārīgo raksturojumu un subjektivitātes jēdziena nozīmi. Praktiskā daļa ir balstīta uz analīzi, kas veikta ar subjektivitātes piemēriem tekstā, galvenokārt izmantojot kontekstuālu analīzi. Fission Barrier of Superheavy Nuclei and Persistence of Shell Effects at High Spin: Cases of 254No and 220Th

We report on the first measurement of the fission barrier height in a heavy shell-stabilized nucleus. The fission barrier height of 254No is measured to be Bf=6.0±0.5  MeV at spin 15ℏ and, by extrapolation, Bf=6.6±0.9  MeV at spin 0ℏ. This information is deduced from the measured distribution of entry points in the excitation energy versus spin plane. The same measurement is performed for 220Th and only a lower limit of the fission barrier height can be determined: Bf(I)8  MeV. Comparisons with theoretical fission barriers test theories that predict properties of superheavy elements.

On the adsorption and reactivity of element 114, flerovium

Flerovium (Fl, element 114) is the heaviest element chemically studied so far. To date, its interaction with gold was investigated in two gas-solid chromatography experiments, which reported two different types of interaction, however, each based on the level of a few registered atoms only. Whereas noble-gas-like properties were suggested from the first experiment, the second one pointed at a volatile-metal-like character. Here, we present further experimental data on adsorption studies of Fl on silicon oxide and gold surfaces, accounting for the inhomogeneous nature of the surface, as it was used in the experiment and analyzed as part of the reported studies.
