Biological invasions are recognized as a significant evolutionary factor over short time scales. In particular, their effect is well recorded on the genetic structure of populations, the patterns of phenotypic evolution and the richness of parasite fauna associated to invasive populations. In the last decades, the Italian University System has encountered several structural reforms aimed at making it more internationally competitive. Among them, the introduction of the University financial autonomy has triggered an “internal” competition among Universities to attract students from the entire country. Students’ enrollment at the first level has decreased significantly especially after the economic crisis of 2008, while the students’ migration from the South to the Central and Northern regions of the country has increased. The main aim of this article-based dissertation is to construct and articulate a dialectical metatheoretical architecture for the study of second language development termed Purposive-Historical Systems Theory (PHiST) invoking, inter alia, the axiomatic imperatives of dynamic systems theory (DST), Vygotskian cultural-historical theory (CHT), and Pepperian root metaphor theory (RMT). W pracy przedstawiono zjawisko podróżowania do miejsc pamięci ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich lokalnego charakteru. Za przykład do omówienia wybrano miejsca pamięci bezpośrednio związane z grupą zawodową górników, a dokładnie poświęcone ofiarom tragicznych wydarzeń w kopalniach. W ostatnich kilku latach wzrasta wśród turystów zainteresowanie górniczymi miejscami pamięci, co ma bezpośredni związek z funkcjonowaniem ścieżki turystyczno-krajoznawczej „Śladami ofiar górniczego stanu”, która powstała z inicjatywy członków Koła Kolarskiego „Sokół” Oddziału PTTK Radlin.

Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt kādas saistības pastāv starp depresijas simptomu izteiktību, bērnībā pārciesto nelabvēlīgas pieredzi un agrīnajām neadaptīvām shēmām un noskaidrot, vai bērnības nelabvēlīgas pieredzes rādītāji paredz agrīno neadaptīvu shēmu radītājus un, savukārt, vai agrīno neadaptīvo shēmu rādītāji paredz depresijas simptomu izteiktību personām ar diagnosticētu depresiju un psihiski veselām personām. Pētījumā piedalījās 82 respondenti (visas sievietes), no kuriem 30 respondenti bija pacienti ar diagnosticēto depresiju un 52 psihiski veselas personas. Our perceptions of events in the Mediterranean are strongly influenced by a range of visual practices that impact on both the emotional and the political. In this paper, I set out to critically explore the visual geographies underlying photographic images of contemporary migration flows across the Mediterranean Sea. I argue the need for a methodological shift from a content analysis approach to a critical investigation of the spatial interweaving of images, gazes and aesthetic regimes that governs both the production and reception of such photographs.
