Performing a piece of music involves the interplay of several cognitive and motor processes and requires extensive training to achieve a high skill level. However, even professional musicians commit errors occasionally. Previous event-related potential (ERP) studies have investigated the neurophysiological correlates of pitch errors during piano performance, and reported pre-error negativity already occurring approximately 70–100 ms before the error had been committed and audible. In this study the question of how theory and practice meet each other during professional development was approached from the point of view of two different groups of learners: employees with varying length of work experience and university students taking a working life project course. Soft tissue sarcoma in Italy: From epidemiological data to clinical networking to improve patient care and outcomes

Sarcomas are rare malignant neoplasms that develop from mesenchymal cells and include a heterogeneous and large group of histological subtypes that may occur at any anatomical site. Soft tissue sarcomas (STS), the focus of this review, account for ≈70‒80% of sarcomas and represent <1% of all cancers. The heterogeneity of STS applies to both their topography and morphology, and 5-year survival can vary widely depending on disease stage and the complex interplay between anatomical site and histology for different STS subtypes. Object, problem, or subject?: A child with a disability as found in reports of professionals

This study examined the representations of one Finnish child with disabilities as constructed in reports written by professionals. The professional action models which appeared in the discourse of the reports were also explored. The theoretical framework of the study was based on the social constructionist approach. Research data consisted of 145 documents, the analyses of which were based on critical discourse analysis developed by Fairclough (1992). The Expertise in the Real Estate Appraisal in Italy.

The study focuses on real estate expertise in Italy considering: the market surface ratios, proposing a series of tests designed to predict the influence of these surfaces on the result of the valuation; and the coefficients of the not surface characteristics providing a measure of the estimation error induced by their use. Overall, the study aims to bring out on a rational level the deficiencies, inaccuracies and errors of the valuations based on the expertise when it is applied to the real estate market. In Italy the application of valuation standard is in the early stages of launching.

The Italian appraisal practice is characterized by valuations developed in subjective opinions formulated by the valuers, according to the experience and the competence rather than on the survey of the market data of comparable properties. This practice makes up for the lack of information on the real estate market and to the consequent absence of systematic collections of market data. This tradition is in the cadastral appraisal for the rural (1886) and urban properties (1939). The assessed income is appraised for a representative property and wide to all the other properties with arbitrary scores (pure number). The assessed value is derived from the income with fixed multipliers.
