Quite often fantastic literature has been studied using ideas from theoretical physics in order to verify how the development of the latter modifies the reader's perception of the former. Instead, this article proposes the opposite: this article will explore theoretical physics using the ideas from the fantastic. The core principle here is that both reflect on the reality and fracture it, changing the reader's reality paradigm. While physics changes it from reality, using to it the principles of the mathematics, the fantastic does this using (and fracturing) a fictional space.

When translation is considered as an integral part of larger social systems (Even-Zohar 1990), the ways in which translations are produced to serve readers’ specificity could be affected. Filips K. Diks ir slavens zinātniskās fantastikas rakstnieks. Zinātniskās fantastikas žanrs bieži tiek mērķēts uz vīriešu auditoriju. Šekojošā pētījuma mērķis ir dzimuma attēlojums romānā “Vai androīdi sapņo par elektriskām aitām?”. Pētījuma galvenā empīriskā metode ir teksta analīze. Galvenā analīzes forma ir feministiskā literatūras kritika, kas vērsta uz zinātnisko fantastiku. Tas ietver dzimuma izpēti kā analīzes veidu, galveno uzmanību pievēršot dzimumu lomām, tā attēlojumam un seksualitātei. Šis maģistra darbs ir veltīts Šerloka Holmsa attēlojumam Artūra Konana Doila romānos, detektīvstāstos un vienā ekranizācijā. Pētījuma mērķis ir noteikt vai šis tēls satur visus neoromantisma tēlam raksturīgus elementus un atbilst neoromantisma tēla aprakstam. Tika analizēti sekojoši Artura Konana Doila darbi, “Edīte purpura toņos” (1887), “Četru zīme” (1890), “Šerloka Holmsa piedzīvojumi” (1892), “Bāskervilu suns” (1902), kā arī viena ekranizācija ‘Šerloks” (2010). Pielietotā pētījuma metode ir salīdzinošā analīze, teksta analīze un teksta interpretācija. Miniproza un hipertekstu literatūra: kritiskās pieejas

Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika analizēti un salīdzināti miniprozas un hipertekstu literatūras daiļdarbi – literārās formas, kuras mūsdienās kļūst arvien izplatītākas. Pētījuma mērķis bija atklāt vienojošās un atšķirīgās īpašības, kuras piemīt abu literatūras formu darbiem. Teorētiskā daļa sastāv no trijām nodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā tika aprakstītas galvenās idejas un jēdzieni, kas ir saistīti ar miniprozu un hipertekstu literatūru. Otrajā nodaļā tika aprakstītas tās pašas idejas un jēdzieni, tikai papildus tika ņemti vērā pieredzējušu pētnieku uzskati un teorijas. Trešajā nodaļā tika īsumā aprakstīti pētāmie objekti. Losandželosa Reimonda Čandlera romānā “Augstais logs” un Maikla Konelija romānā ''Piliens''

Šis maģistra darbs pēta Losandželosas attēlojumu divos skarbās literatūras žanra romānos. Skarbās literatūras žanrs un lokācijas aspekts ir tēmas, kuram netiek pievērsts pietiekami daudz akadēmiskās uzmanības literatūrzinātnē. Tika analizēti divi literārie darbi – Reimonda Čandlera 1942. gada romāns “Augstais Logs” un Maikla Konelija 2011. gada romāns “Piliens”. Par maģistra darba galveno metodoloģisko ietvaru tika izvēlēta Džeisona Finča “Dziļa lokācijas kritika”. Romānu lokācijas analīze pauda daudz ieskatu Losandželosas sociālās, ģeogrāfiskās un politiskās realitātēs.

Šī bakalaura darba galvenais mērķis ir veikt žanra analīzi Nīla Šustermana romānā Izkapts (2016) no distopijas skatupunkta, pētot un analizējot, kā distopijas jauniešu daiļliteratūras tēmas un iezīmes – futūristiska norises vieta, tehnoloģijas un kontrole, vardarbība un bailes, cerība un spēcīgi jaunieši kā galvenie tēli – ir ietvertas un interpretētas izvēlētajā romānā. Lai to sasniegtu, tika izmantotas šādas metodes: kritisks attiecīgās teorētiskās literatūras pārskats, un padziļināta lasīšana kā praktiskās darba daļas metode. One of the main concerns when teaching a foreign language is how to encourage students to read and become interested in its literature. This article presents detective fiction as a pedagogical tool that provides the key elements to make it appealing for young readers. In this way, the mystery, the action and the suspense in the story; the figure of the detective; or the fact that the end of the story is always morally acceptable turn this literary genre in a magnificent reading to practise the target language and explore the social and cultural issues portrayed.
