Baltais fosfors ir molekulārs kristāls, kas sastāv no tetraedra formas P4 molekulām, kuru savstarpējais izkārtojums kristāliskajā režģī mainās, pārejot starp trim pazīstamajām fāzēm: α; β; γ. Materiāls ir pazīstams jau sen, taču kā molekulārs kristāls tas ir pētīts salīdzinoši maz, it īpaši ar svārstību spektroskopijas metodēm, kas, piemēram, spētu apstiprināt vai noliegt no rentgenstaru difrakcijas iegūto kristālisko struktūru pareizību. Šajā darbā eksperimentāli iegūti baltā fosfora α un β fāzu Ramana izkliedes spektri pie dažādām temperatūrām apgabalā no -125°C līdz -20°C. Abstract Various vertebrate and invertebrate traces and plants remains have been discovered in the Permian of Pico Paraes (Cantabrian Mountains). They occur in the Sagra Formation, a 400 m thick unit consisting of a vertical alternation of channels with conglomeratic sandstones and fossiliferous red siltstones with a caliche horizon at the top. The most common trace is Hyloidichnus major which is attributed to approximately 50 cm long Captorhinomorphs. Other tracks provisionally assigned to Limnopus could also indicate the presence of Temnospondyls. Un'idea semplice e rivoluzionaria: riuscire a trasformare, in armonia con la tradizione, il “parco agricolo sud” di Milano. La proposta si sviluppa su più piani: restauro delle abitazioni e cascine del parco, lo fruttamento delle energie eco-compatibili (biomassa, energia solare e energia idraulica), e promozione del parco come meta turistica. Un lavoro simile è già in atto in diverse parti della regione Lombardia. L’area del parco del Ticino dopo due anni di lavoro è quasi tutta eco compatibile. Nella provincia di Cremona alcune aziende agricole hanno già iniziato a sviluppare e a monetizzare la biomassa.

Near-Infrared emission of O2 embedded in amorphous SiO2 nanoparticles

We report an experimental study on the emission properties of O2 molecules loaded by a thermal diffusion process at 200 °C into high-purity silica nanoparticles with mean diameters of 7 and 40 nm. The embedded O2 features a singlet to triplet emission band peaked at 1272 nm in agreement with the band observed for bulk silica materials. The photoluminescence excitation spectra have been determined in the visible and in the infrared range and are characterized by narrow bands peaked at 691, 764,and 1069 nm, respectively.
