Il s’agit de fonds – pratiquant une gestion active - investissant principalement dans les actions britanniques et de fonds détenant majoritairement des obligations anglaises durant la période novembre 1990 – novembre 2000. Les données sur les fonds de pension individuels proviennent de la base de données UK PENSION de Standard & Poor’s Fund Services et sont de fréquence mensuelle. Tämä tutkielma kokoaa yhteen pankkeja nykyisin velvoittavat pääomien määrään ja maksuvalmiuteen sekä rahoitukseen liittyvät sääntelyt. Tutkielman tavoitteena on saada vastaus kysymykseen: Miten pankin tulee huomioida pankkisääntely pääoman ja varainhankinnan rakenteessaan? Tutkielman alussa esitellään pankkitoimintaa yleisesti ja siihen liittyviä optimointiongelmia. Pankkien kannalta optimaalinen pääomarakenne poikkeaa sosiaalisesti optimaalisesta ja tätä varten pankkisääntelyä tarvitaan. Decreased birth rate and aging population represent a treat to PAYG public pension systems implemented in countries of Central and Eastern Europe, due to the fact that the financing is direct dependent of the social contributions payed by the taxpayers active on labor market. Pension system formation is one of the questions on the daily agenda for most countries of the world. Most attention and discussion focus on the first two pension system pillars – state compulsory unfunded pension scheme and the state-funded or accumulated pension scheme in pension funds, both based on mandatory contributions. Private voluntary investments are the “third pillar” of pension systems and the gear to ensure an adequate level of income at retirement age by creating private pension funds.
