In reality, the capital budgeting problem is accompanied by the uncertainty and risk associated with dealing with imprecise data. The paper presents the essence and significance of the project time estimation under uncertainty and risk using ordered fuzzy numbers. The proposed approach is based on a fuzzy model of uncertainty using ordered fuzzy numbers as imprecise data – duration times. A fuzzy approach to multidimensional material deprivation measurement: the case of foreigners living in Italy

This paper provides a new approach to the measurement of multidimensional material deprivation, based on partial order theory and on fuzzy set measurement. The main feature of the methodology is that the information needed for the deprivation assessment is extracted directly from the relational structure of the dataset, avoiding any kind of scaling and not proper aggregation procedure, so as to respect the measurement level of the data. An empirical illustration, using data from a special EU-SILC survey on migrants in Italy, provides a new insight on the material deprivation of foreigners living in Italy

The present work aims at proposing a methodology able to return a single parameter that synthesizes the aspects characterizing the layout design problem that the analyst translates into requests of closeness and distance among departments. This point out an overall deficiency in management allowing patient treatment in the absence of suitable quality assurance processes.
