Während der Verlauf und die Ursachen des Geburtenverhaltens intensiv erforscht wurden, sind die finanziellen Folgen einer Geburt empirisch kaum beachtet worden. Daher werden hier kurzfristige Wohlstandsveränderungen von Familien (hinsichtlich verfügbarem Haushaltseinkommen und Äquivalenzeinkommen) rund um die Geburt eines Kindes in längsschnittlicher Perspektive analysiert und auf ihre Ursachen untersucht. Przestrzenne zróżnicowanie kosztów funkcjonowania domów pomocy społecznej w Polsce w 2016 roku

Celem artykułu było wykazanie zróżnicowania poziomu kosztów utrzymania mieszkańca w domach pomocy społecznej (DPS) w Polsce w 2016 r. Wartość współczynnika zmienności (12,9%) potwierdziła, że DPS w Polsce różnią się ze względu na poziom kosztów utrzymania ich mieszkańców. Dalsza analiza dotyczyła korelacji pomiędzy kosztami w DPS i zmiennymi opisującymi poziom rozwoju gospodarczego danego regionu. Uzyskane wyniki pozwoliły na stwierdzenie, że wyższemu poziomowi PKB odpowiadały wyższe koszty w DPS. <abstract> <p>Although foodborne infections contracted at home are frequent diseases worldwide, there is a general lack of information. Main purpose of this cross-sectional study was to evaluate knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of a sample of the general Sicilian population about the risk of contracting foodborne diseases. It was carried out through a web-based questionnaire to a Sicilian population sample. The questionnaire collected socio-demographic data, health issues, KAP and self-reported diseases. Why are Italians at the bottom of international rankings on financial literacy? Why do they fail to make speculative financial choices and have a marked aptitude for precautionary saving? Using a Weberian perspective on household “budget management” [haushalt] and analysing the results of recent research (e.g. OECD, CONSOB and Bank of Italy), the authors argue that there are always “good reasons” and thus specific rationality that encourages people to save and reject financial speculation.
