The use of sonification for physiotherapy in human movement tasks: A scoping review

Objectives: This review aims to: (1) map the use of sonification in human movement tasks for physical therapy; (2) identify methods of data capture, tasks and its effects on human subjects; (3) suggest future research directions. Search forD0−D¯0mixing using semileptonic decay modes

Based on an 87-fb{sup -1} data set collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory, a search for D{sup 0}-D-bar{sup 0} mixing has been made using the semileptonic decay modes D*{sup +}{yields}{pi}{sup +}D{sup 0}, D{sup 0}{yields}K{sup (}*{sup )}e{nu} (+c.c.). The use of these modes allows unambiguous flavor tagging and a combined fit of the D{sup 0} decay time and D*{sup +}-D{sup 0} mass difference ({delta}M) distributions. The high-statistics sample of unmixed semileptonic D{sup 0} decays is used to model the {delta}M distribution and time dependence of mixed events directly from the data. Combined D0 measurements constraining theCP-violating phase and width difference in theBs0system

We combine the D0 measurement of the width difference between the light and heavy B-s(0) mass eigenstates and of the CP-violating mixing phase determined from the time-dependent angular distributions in the B-s(0)-> J/psi phi decays along with the charge asymmetry in semileptonic decays also measured with the D0 detector. With the additional constraint from the world average of the flavor-specific B-s(0) lifetime, we obtain Delta Gamma(s)equivalent to(Gamma(L)-Gamma(H))=0.13 +/- 0.09 ps(-1) and vertical bar phi(s)vertical bar=0.70(-0.47)(+0.39) or Delta Gamma(s)=-0.13 +/- 0.09 ps(-1) and vertical bar phi(s)vertical bar=2.44(-0.39)(+0.47). Search for the decayB+→τ+ντ

We search for the rare leptonic decay B^+ → τ^+ν_τ in a sample of 232 × 10^6 BB pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II B-Factory. Signal events are selected by examining the properties of the B meson recoiling against the semileptonic decay B^- → D^9*0)l^-ν_ l. We find no evidence for a signal and set an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(B^+ → τ^+ν_τ)<2.8 × 10^9-4) at the 90% confidence level. We combine this result with a previous, statistically independent BABAR search for B+→τ+ντ to give an upper limit of B(B^+ → τ^+ν_τ)<2.6 × 10^(-4) at the 90% confidence level.

Species-specific identification of Dekkera/Brettanomyces yeasts by fluorescently labeled DNA probes targeting the 26S rRNA.

Sequencing of the complete 26S rRNA genes of all Dekkera/Brettanomyces species colonizing different beverages revealed the potential for a specific primer and probe design to support diagnostic PCR approaches and FISH. By analysis of the complete 26S rRNA genes of all five currently known Dekkera/Brettanomyces species (Dekkera bruxellensis, D. anomala, Brettanomyces custersianus, B. nanus and B. naardenensis), several regions with high nucleotide sequence variability yet distinct from the D1/D2 domains were identified. IN service specification using the KANNEL language

KANNEL is an application-oriented language for protocol engineering, with integrated support for all the main aspects of implementing typical communications software. Intelligent network services with distributed and interacting components share a number of central features with communications protocols, thus bringing in the possibility of applying protocol engineering techniques within the area of intelligent networking. To verify this view, the KANNEL language is applied to the specification of an intelligent calling card service. The specification includes both visual and textual notations of KANNEL.

Sexual dichromatism in Mediterranean storm petrels Hydrobates pelagicus melitensis.

2010

We propose the use of a non-invasive technique for sexing the Mediterranean subspecies of the European storm petrel Hydrobates pelagicus melitensis. We found that this subspecies shows sexual dimorphism in rump band width and wing length. Fast and cheap sex identification methods can improve conservation programs and population studies of this species.
