La orden europea de investigaciòn
2018
The paper analyses Directive 2014/41/EU on the European Investigation order, with specific regard to the grounds for non recognition or non execution.
2022
The study focuses on the analysis and investigation of the European instrument called the European Investigation Order (EIO), and its contributions to the fight against organised crime. This instrument was adopted by the European legislator, with the aim of achieving effective and swift cross-border judicial cooperation in criminal matters. In this context the main question that encourages research is: to what extent is the EIO a suitable instrument in the fight against organised crime? From this question the rest of the questions arise, articulating the structure of the thesis. In addition, in this work, we highlight the comparative perspective: the EIO instrument has been examined from a …

PROVA TECNICA E CONTRADDITTORIO NEL PROCESSO PENALE
2023
When science and the criminal process come into contact, cognitive mechanisms are set in motion aimed at reorganizing knowledge belonging to worlds other than the legal one. In this context, the actors of the trial scene are forced to move on a hybrid terrain in which judicial epistemology and scientific epistemology mix. Such a fascinating picture pushes the scholar of the criminal process to seek interpretations suitable for explaining the multiple dilemmas that the phenomenon entails. Starting from a historical-legislative excursus of the expert evidence, the proposed analysis examines the different channels through which expert knowledge enters the process, starting from the investigati…
Equilibrium, Structural and Biological Activity Studies on [Organotin(IV)]n+ Complexes
2008
Organotin(IV) compounds are characterized by the presence of at least one covalent C–Sn bond. The compounds contain tetravalent {Sn} centers and are classified as mono-, di-, tri-, and tetraorganotin(IV), depending on the number of alkyl (R) or aryl (Ar) moieties bound. The anions are usually Cl, F, O2, OH,–COO, or –S. It seems that the nature of the anionic group has only secondary importance in biological activity. The rapid rise in the industrial (catalyst in PVC and foam production), agricultural (fungicides and acaricides), and biological applications (wood, stone, and glass preservatives) of organotin(IV) compounds during the last few decades has led to their accumulation in the envir…

They include: The organization and logistics of the 12th OPTIMA Iter in Tunisia by Domina & al.; a bioclimatic and vegetation overview of the studied areas by Smaoui; the Checklist of the vascular plants collected by Greuter & Domina; a first Checklist of the Bryophytes collected by Campisi & al; a first Checklist of the lichens collected by Guttová & al.
A New Systematic Series of Foil Sections with Parallel Sides
2020
Parallel-sided foil sections are used for centerboards and rudders in sailing dinghy classes and also for struts placed in a fluid flow. The objective of this work is to create a systematic series of parallel-sided sections to be used under different conditions, with an emphasis on the sailing dinghies 470, 420 and Optimist. The loss, and surprisingly the gain, in performance relative to 4-digit NACA sections are also investigated. A 2D Reynolds-averaged Navier&ndash
Multidisciplinary analysis on a marble bas-relief of unknown origin
2022
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how a disciplinary approach is an excellent tool in the field of forensic investigations, capable of answering the questions posed by the institution and obtaining as different and as much information as possible on the findings analyzed, reconstructing the history of often decontextualized artifacts. In the present work, the results of the FTIR-ATR and SEM-EDX analyses performed on micro-fragments and powders taken from a marble bas-relief, seized by the Cosenza Carabinieri Unit for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and Anti-Counterfeiting (Calabria, Italy), are reported.
Multi-scale theoretical investigation of molecular hydrogen adsorption over graphene: coronene as a case study
2014
The physisorption of molecular hydrogen onto coronene is studied using a multi-scale theoretical approach with Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations. We consider two different kinds of model conformation for the approach of hydrogen towards the coronene i.e., systematic and random. For the systematic attack of hydrogen over coronene, the resulting potential energy profiles from DFT analysis are further found to resemble the Morse potential, and even the highly flexible Murrell–Sorbie (M–S) potential. The resulting M–S fitting also shows a zero-point energy correction of ∼16–17%. On the other hand, the potential energies from the random approach…
