SIGA3D : modélisation, échange et visualisation d'objets 3D du bâtiment et d'objets urbains géoréférencés ; application aux IFC pour la gestion techn…
2012
This thesis defines a new approach in urban and building facility management. A production and information management process of the building, its immediate environment and urban objects has been defined. It allows to manage these objects throughout their life cycle, in a concept called Urban Facility Management. This technology relies on an Urban Information Model to model all the information of cities and buildings in a dynamic and evolutive ontology. A mechanism for geometric and semantic levels of detail has also been defined to support the scalability of such a system. Indeed, the number of objects to be managed in a scene, compared to a building modeling system, is much higher, as the…
Urban drinking and driving:comparison of electric scooter and bicycle related accidents in facial fracture patients
2022
In recent years, electric scooters (e-scooter) have emerged as an alternative mode of urban transport due to their availability and effortless use. However, e-scooter-related trauma and injuries, especially to the head, have received wide media coverage and raised public concern about their safety. We aim to determine and compare clinically relevant variables, incidence, and severity between bicycle and e-scooter-related facial fractures and potential protective measures for injury prevention. This retrospective study comprised all patients admitted to a tertiary trauma center with bicycle or e-scooter-related facial fractures between January 2019 and October 2020. Patient- and injury-relat…
Revision of Hermadion Kinberg, 1856, with a redescription of Hermadion magalhaensi Kinberg, 1856, Adyte hyalina (G.O. Sars, 1873) n. comb. and Neopol…
2010
Examination of all species previously referred to the genus Hermadion revealed that the type species, H. magalhaensi Kinberg, 1856, is the only valid species in the genus. H. magalhaensi is redescribed and its synonymy with Hermadion longicirratus Kinberg, 1856, Hermadion kerguelensis McIntosh, 1885, and Lagisca laevis Hartmann-Schroder, 1962, is discussed. The generic attribution of 12 species that had already been moved from Hermadion to other genera by earlier authors is confirmed. Following our re-examination four species are moved to other genera: Harmothoe ornatus (Hartman, 1967) n. comb., Harmothoe africanus (Hartman, 1974) n. comb., Adyte hyalina (G.O. Sars, 1873) n. comb., and Neop…
A revision of Gynura (Asteraceae: Senecioneae)
2011
A revision of the paleotropical genus Gynura Cass. is presented. Forty-four species are recognized, of which three are described as new. These are G. daviesiae Vanijajiva & Kadereit, G. villosa Vanijajiva & Kadereit, and G. siamensis Vanijajiva & Kadereit. Gynura dissecta (F. G. Davies) Vanijajiva & Kadereit, G. annua (F. G. Davies) Vanijajiva & Kadereit, and G. aurantiaca (Bl.) DC. subsp. parviflora (F. G. Davies) Vanijajiva & Kadereit are new combinations. An identification key, descriptions, and distribution maps are provided.
Additions to the Nepalese oribatid mite fauna, with description of two new species (Acari, Oribatida)
2013
An annotated checklist of identified oribatid mite taxa from Nepal is provided. It includes 45 species/subspecies, 38 genera and 31 families; 34 species/subspecies are recorded for the first time in Nepal. Two new species, Eremaeus anichkini n. sp. (Eremaeidae) and Ghilarovizetes longiporosus n. sp. (Ceratozetidae), are described from soil and litter. An identification key to all known species of the genus Ghilarovizetes is given.urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:BE27D886-1294-4E55-AD0B-25CDFC663D71
New species, records and synonymies of West Palaearctic Pamphaginae (Orthoptera: Caelifera: Pamphagidae)
2012
The author analyses the species of some West Palaearctic genera of Pamphaginae, namely Euryparyphes, Paraeuryparyphes, Glauia, Pseudoglauia, Glauvarovia, Prionosthenus, Lativertex, Ocnerosthenus, establishing the following synonymies: Euryparyphes olcesei (Bolivar 1907) = Euryparyphes bolivari (Stål 1876); Euryparyphes paraflexuosus La Greca 1993 = Euryparyphes flexuosus Uvarov 1927; Glauia durieui rubripes Morales Agacino & Descamps 1968 = Glauia durieui durieui (Bolivar 1878); Prionosthenus lebanicus Dirsh 1950 = Prionosthenus femoralis Werner 1938; Prionosthenus (Lativertex) Koçak & Kemal 2011 = Paranothrotes Mishchenko 1951. Further, the author confirms the synonymies: Euryparyphes vauc…
A Complete Description and Conservation Assessment of Riella affinis Howe & Underwood (Riellaceae, Sphaerocarpales) New to Continental Europe
2019
Riella affinis Howe & Underwood is a rare species that is thus far known from eight populations worldwide. Only half of these were recorded in the last 50 years and none were recollected since first reported. Study of a Spanish population of R. cossoniana Trab., recorded in 2002 from Las Lomas, Malaga province, revealed that it belongs to R. affinis. The correct identity of the populations, which had not been available for study, was already suggested by reproductive and ecological characteristics of the plants mentioned in the original publication. The three main lagoons from the Las Lomas endorheic system, where the plants had been recorded, were sampled and living plants of R. affinis we…
Performance Analysis of M-Ary PSK Modulation Schemes over Multiple Double Rayleigh Fading Channels with EGC in Cooperative Networks
2010
This article studies the performance of M-ary phase shift keying (PSK) modulation schemes over mobile-to-mobile (M2M) fading channels with equal gain combining (EGC) in cooperative networks. The frequency-nonselective M2M fading channels are modeled assuming non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation conditions. Furthermore, a dual-hop amplify-and-forward relay type cooperative network is taken into consideration here. It is assumed that K diversity branches are present between the source mobile station and the destination mobile station via K mobile relays. The performance of M-ary PSK modulation schemes is analyzed by evaluating the average bit error probability (BEP). We have derived a simple …
FoSBaS: A bi-directional secrecy and collusion resilience key management scheme for BANs
2012
Body Area Network (BAN) consists of various types of small physiological sensors, transmission modules and low computational components and can thus form an E-health solution for continuous all-day and any-place health monitoring. To protect confidentiality of collected data, a shared group key is usually deployed in a BAN, and consequently a secure communication group is generated. In this paper, we propose a bi-directional security and collusion resilience key management scheme for BAN, referred to as FoSBaS. Detailed analysis shows that the scheme can provide both forward security and backward security and resist against collusion attacks. Furthermore, the FoSBaS is implemented on a Sun …
SCARKER: A sensor capture resistance and key refreshing scheme for mobile WSNs
2011
How to discover a captured node and to resist node capture attack is a challenging task in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). In this paper, we propose a node capture resistance and key refreshing scheme for mobile WSNs which is based on the Chinese remainder theorem. The scheme is able of providing forward secrecy, backward secrecy and collusion resistance for diminishing the effects of capture attacks. By implementing our scheme on a Sun SPOT based sensor network testbed, we demonstrate that the time for updating a new group key varies from 56 ms to 546 ms and the energy consumption is limited to 16.5–225 mJ, depending on the length of secret keys and the number of sensors in a group.
