Vžyvannja form v Ukrajini i na Ukrajini u periodyčnych vydannjach rusyniv Bačky i Sremu u mižvojennyj period

This paper analyzes the use of the preposition u and na in locative constructions with the term Ukraine in the language of Rusyns from Bačka and Syrmia in the 20-30s of the XX century. The following periodicals were taken into consideration: the newspaper “Ruski Novini” of the Rusyns Society for Education and the newspaper “Zarja” and “Kalendar - Zarja” of the Cultural and Educational Union of the Rusyns of Yugoslavia. The use of both prepositions before the specified term is attested, and that is in line with the Ukrainian linguistic tradition. The use of these prepositions in locative constructions with terms Podkarpatska Rus, Karpatska Ukrajina and Hornitsa is also considered.

This dissertation focuses on the development of the agency and professional Finnish language skills of international nursing students studying in an English-medium degree program in Finland. The study draws on sociocognitive and ecological perspectives to examine the social nature of language and its use. This ethnographic theoretical-methodological orientation helps to analyze both subjectively experienced and collectively emergent factors. This paper explores ideological elements regarding gender in phraseological units with the word mujer(‘woman’) in the different editions of the dictionarypublished by Real Academia Española during the 18th and the 19th centuries. First, the ideological content in the phraseological units themselves is analyzed. Second, phenomena related to subjectivity in the definitions are analyzed: this evidences subjectivity not only in the different phraseological units presented in the dictionary, but also in the discourse of the academics. This paper describes a prototype of a system to auto matically analyze use cases and create a conceptual model based on the analysis. Grammatical parser and Abbott’s heuristic are used to process the use cases. User can modify the conceptual model by refining entities and relations, as well as roles for the entities. The model can be exported to be further utilized with object oriented analysis or domain specific modeling. This paper examines some examples (taken from research conducted over the years) that show students’ linguistic attitudes in geometry tasks. The examples are framed within the Theory of Objectification with reference to the notion of sensuous cognition, semiotic means of objectification and levels of generality. We show the struggle students live, at higher levels of generality, in intertwining natural language, specific language and the spontaneous use of geometrical figures, bound to perception and kinaesthetic activity.
