Nuove prospettive per l’arboricoltura da legno in Sicilia: la coltivazione del noce Pecan

In funzione della promozione dell’arboricoltura da legno in Sicilia, vengono presentati i risultati di osservazioni condotte presso l’Orto botanico di Palermo, concernenti la coltivazione del noce pecan (Carya illinoensis). Essi vengono valutati positivamente anche in relazione alla crescita e alle caratteristiche del legno che potrebbe trovare localmente utile impiego.

It is very important for managers to plan a road network that meets all the requirements for tourism development and management. The aim of this study was to evaluate and modify an existing road network for tourism purposes in the Arasbaran protected area. First, the map layers of effective criteria were prepared in GIS and were standardized by a fuzzy logic approach and finally combined considering their relative importance weights obtained through pair-wise comparison technique. Abstract In a sustainable perspective, where wood harvesting and use perfectly respond to environmental needs, social sustainability and related health and safety of forest workers cannot be disregarded. The aim of this study was the analysis of the accidents records in public companies in the Province of Trento, in Northern Italy, regarding forest operations in the period 1995–2013. Questo lavoro esamina l’uso di un dispositivo strutturale in legno storico utilizzato come rinforzo della muratura per i sistemi di prevenzione sismica nell'area mediterranea. Tale tecnologia viene realizzata mediante un telaio tridimensionale tridimensionale di legno incorporato nella muratura di pietra per legare insieme le varie parti strutturali e contribuire alla resistenza sismica complessiva. La storia dell’eucalitticoltura in Sicilia è ormai una storia di mezzo secolo. La diffusione dell’eucalitticoltura in Sicilia e nelle regioni meridionali in genere ha corrisposto alla diffusione di un modello nuovo per queste realtà. Diversi errori sono stati compiuti soprattutto con riferimento alle scelte tecniche compiute a posteriori (scelta delle stazioni, assenza di cure colturali, utilizzazioni improprie). Un rinnovato interesse per questi popolamenti è derivato dalle opportunità offerte per l’utilizzazione energetica.
